Class is very difficult with respect to tests/quizzes. However, homework is typically assigned about 2-3 weeks in advance of the due date, so if you don't procrastinate, you'll have enough time to do the problem sets in a meaningful manner. Going to the easy SLOBS will help get you perhaps a B, but attempting to solve all of them will help train you for the tests and get you that A.
