- calc isn't user friendly. calc d especially is just insanely complex. so ms. brown is already making it as engaging as it possibly could be, and people should stop complaining about her... you should probably be complaining about the material itself, and consider switching to an easier class.

- by far the best math teacher at tp. really cares, focuses on the topics, has a way of explaining things that makes even the weirdest calc stuff really clear. d/linear's an awesome class, btw

- ms. brown rocks. no other person would have been able to teach me multivariable calculus. super nice too. and she is sooo passionate about math and teaching it makes me feel bad about not enjoying it very much.

- to all the people who say mrs. brown is boring, yeah i can see where you're coming from. i fell asleep a lot in her class myself! but the point is her classes are so ridiculously advanced that they are really only designed for the truly calculus-obsessed... and that is not what most of the class is. if you're bored that's probably because the class is inherently not relevant to you, and mrs. brown can't really do much about that, so it's not her fault. blame Green's Theorem or w/e instead

Calculus is a very difficult class, but Ms. Brown is very good at what she does! If you do all your work on time (which you should anyways), you'll learn a lot about the topic in general and learn to love math. Please, don't make her cry and don't cheat!(permalink) (report)

Ms. Brown is an awesome teacher. She actually loves what she teaches. I love how she uses a lot technology to help us learn. The class itself was a little hard, but that's because I procrastinated a lot. I really liked Ms. Brown, even after the whole cheating thing happened. I mean, they deserved what they got. It was probably a little harsh, but still, they chose to cheat.(permalink) (report)

I love Ms. Brown. If you care anything about the class its not that hard. Just do your homework before the tests and its fine. I will admit to having fallen asleep in class but that's kind of common for me... oh and I got an A!! : ) She's nice (but the math open house thing... little boring but Ms. Brown got soooo excited so I guess its cool)(permalink) (report)

Ms. Brown tries hard and knows what she's talking about, but she just isn't a good teacher. She doesn't have good control of the class and is insufferably boring. I've never fallen asleep in a class before taking this class. She's alright but doesn't relate to students very well and is too serious(permalink) (report)
