she is a good teacher if you understand mandarin before you take the course. haha, but if she doesnt like you, you are screwed!
if you show that you truly want to learn mandarin, she will help you out so much ...
she has too much prejudious against certain people and in favor of taiwan ABC. She should go back to school and get more training.
shes a good teacher once u actaully understand her and do your work
actually learned some mandarin from her. difficult teacher though. dont even think about fooling around in her class.
Her wonderful teaching in mandarin 1/2 motivated me to continue to do well in mandarin 3/4.
yup..she does favor ppl..and even if u have an A in her class...it doesnt mean ull be her favorite. as long as u sit there quietly, do everything she says, and never talk back..then ur good..for now
I have her for the second time. She EXPECTS the entire freaking class the understand every word she says(she slurs mando and english) I understand, but its annoying. Constant homework as well, easy tho
she is very helpful if you ask her how to write, pronounce, or read characters
her homework isnt very long and they help you prepare for her tests
her singing in class makes you shocked....really funny....surprised to know that she could dance.
Her grading system is a little weird but as long as you study, take good notes, listen in class, and diligently do your homework, you should be able to earn her respect and an A.
Her tests are pretty easy because she gives you some of the answers before you take the test!
do not talk in class and partcipate a lot whenever she asks questions or teaches the lesson and she will be nice to you
Ms. Chin is awesome; she teaches very clearly and her homework is actually useful!
trust me i tried it. she only gave me 2 extra credits from helping her out and that was about it. after that she brushed me off. she said "oh let the other students do it" in the end, no one did it.
She's pretty easy if you understnd what she is saying. She favors students (those students are the one that helps her alot!). You can get an A by studying.
Enjoyed her class..hope to have her again...she has very good mandarin and teaches clearly (well at least for me)
she gets pretty unreasonable. get on her good side by participating in class!!
Participate and keep quiet and you'll be golden. She favors people, so you might as well have her like you. The work is easy and so are the tests.
Make jokes and talk to her once in a while before or after class so then she can favor you. she WILL pass you with a passing grade "D" even if you fail her tests just pretend to do your work and HW
She favorites ppl.. and she ALWAYS believe that she is right, when she forgets stuff, and I wouldnt want to try and correct her...
She assumed you were fluent in Mandarin almost instantly, which is sorta hard. She's nice if you' pay attention and do your hw.
She's not all that bad. Well, that is if she likes you. But really, just do your work and do it dilligently... Then she'll like you. She's really easy anyway. And her tests are too
Very tough grading system not totally bad, just hard.. Her voice stabs at you but cant put that against her..
She definitely treats students differently. Make sure she likes u becus if she doesnt shes gonna pick on u all year long
She babbles on and on, she has no actual way of keeping record of whether or not you did your work, and she play favorites.
oldfashioned; definitely has her favorite students. Her singing is, uh(chuckle), unique. Sometimes she's just mean. if u study hard and flatter her, u'll be ok.
Talks too much and seems like shes teaching in some foreign launguage.....
