Mr. Chavero is not as bad as everyone says. Granted he does go off on tangents, make jokes (which may be distasteful or offensive to people), be somewhat condescending, be "rude," or annoying, but he does teach the material that you learn. Although sometimes we'll be behind on the unit to the point where we'll read English translations aloud in class but he does know his stuff. His teaching style is different, but he's not horrible if you have him. Make sure you do homework and study a lot.

Mr. Chavero may go off on tangents, but if you pay attention in class that's the material that will be on tests. If you're confused, just ask. I was intimidated at first, but he's actually very good at explaining things and takes the time to make sure you understand what he's saying. Tests are very hard, expect pop quizzes, homework is graded - this isn't the year to play games. Just do the work.

If you get him, God help you. If that doesn't work, God bless you. He forcibly imposes his very conservative views on all his students and goes off topic EVERY LESSON! I've learned practically nothing from his class.

Mr. Chavero is actually not the worst teacher, he does explain if you ask him, but most of the time he would just go into wild tangents about his life. His quizzes are easy, but his tests are extremely difficult. He is fairly reasonable, but you have to actually know Latin instead of bsing the year. Good luck you'll need it.

Horrible teacher. Rants about being a Texan and loves coffee. He will duct tape your phone if he catches you with it. The only way to pass is to do your homework and study. He grades homework.

Give Mr. Chavero some credit. He's one of my favorite Latin teachers (I had Moguel+Bartoloma, so my standards are high). His tests aren't THAT hard. Those who claim "Mr. Chavero never teaches us," youre right. But thats because you shouldve ALREADY learned this in grades 7+8. Its your job to review since we dont learn much in Latin 3 anyway, just translating. Also he changed from republican to independent.. I even admit that's weird. REMEMBER :Just laugh. Then his class'll be fun and HILARIOUS!

He's misogynistic and TRANSPHOBIC AS ALL HECK but he's a laugh. Hard tests but pretty straightforward otherwise. In one word, a troll. but hey, if I can pass so can you.
