Knows what she's talking about, but her method of teaching a new subject is to stare at the board and talk through her writing. can be hard to follow sometimes. I wouldn't tell you to switch to a new teacher if you had her, but don't expect a really outstanding time in the class.
Amy Lynn may know what she's doing for the most part and is pretty good at explaining it but she is definitely the meanest teacher I've ever had. Don't ever try to correct her even if she is very wrong, or she will glare at you. One day, she asked the class a question and no one knew the answer (I was in a class of only 9 people) so she completely flipped out. She started criticizing each of us one at a time and some of us even started crying, she didn't care she was so mad at us for no reason.
i have her for chemistry and her tests are eh, not easy but not hard. class is boring and I've gotten bad grades on all the labs which doesn't help my grade. never make excuses with her be straight foward.
She's seriously brilliant, however she has her pissy moods. She is willing to help but will not take excuses or any bull.
all of the learning was on physicsclassroom.com but when she actually taught she was alright. her tests were hard but it is an honors class so its alright
Ms.Debonis is easily one of the most intelligent person that I have ever met. It can be a little hard to understand everything that she teaches, but she encourages you to seek her out if you have questions. Definitely not a teacher that is going to hold you hand but that's for the best since I know that will help prepare me for college.
debonis was great! i aced many of her tests because they were so strait foreward. i got an A in her class and she was nice to me. she lowkey flirts with peter kouzki(idk how to spell that)but its ok. good teacher, explained things well.
Average, little patience.
Too many questions on quizzes/tests. Her class was a little boring, too. .
She is very nice and funny. If you try to understand, her class is easy.
Not a good teacher... i switched classes
She was overall sweet! She tried hard for the kids and cared. Don't push her buttons, she is not afraid to snap back. Class was kinda hard, but she was always available for help and always offered up question time!
Great teacher. Not too hard on the eyes either....
Had her for Freshman Physical Science, Have her this year and still my favorite science teacher since Mr. Cash
Ok, (my name here), I'm not sure you're thinking of the same Mrs. Debonis, she was a great teacher. Yes the class was dull, but she was hilarious and rather informative.
I was actually a student of hers when she taught basic science at Sherwood Middle School, and I remember her being really cool with me. However, here comes science fair time, and as a way to overcome my nervousness, I volunteered to do my presentation first. When I was done with my presentation, she sat there with this dumbfounded look on her face, and exclaime...."(my name here), what IS this??? and started laughing at me" From that moment I realized exactly how low class she really was :))))
I think that Amy is quite possibly the dumbest teacher I have ever encountered.
Great class, that is if you love worksheets that don't make sense. Never actually teachers. You must learn to teach yourself in this class.
she always looks like she is going to cry when some one challenges her or class gets out of hands
i love her shes so cool, you peps dont know what your talking about she tryes to make it easy and if its not.. will then get used to it your in high school now!
unbelievably, she actually somewhat prepared me for college science, o wow
She is nice...but just doesn't know what she is doing.
easy class so far, and i guess your pretty cool. we need to learn from something besides worksheets and book assignments though. enough with the labs!!!
It felt like she didn't care about teaching because she'll be on her laptop searching the internet (be friends with someone smart)
You guys may not know it now, but wait until you get to college physics and feel totally prepared thanks to her!
Um... I'm pretty sure I didn't learn a lot from her. The class was a barrel of monkeys though. Lots of videos and subs. And she IS helpful.
Your class is extremely boring, im sorry, but it is. You should teach more than play videos for us. And be nicer when people ask questions. Thanks!
we're fourth quarter seniors. just because you are behind does not mean that you need to take it out on us. my other ap classes are even less work than this
maybe you should go to school before you start teaching so you dont make a fool of yourself like you do.
I dunno what you guys are talking about, she is very nice to my class, ignores our conversation most of the time, and does't give detentions even when i'm late
Debonis is a horrible teacher. She doesn't teach the material, and is offended when you ask a question if she's covered it once. Some people need repetition.
Maybe if she knew anything she would be an ok teacher. passing papers to the sides? is she trying to be a rebel. this women has too much energy towards teaching
She can be very helpfull, you just have to ask her the right questions and meet with her. Do not get frustrated.
hey guys, be nice. Debone always helped when she confused me too much and you should be able to get an A even if you don't unerstand anything...i did!
Debonis is my favorite teacher. She's very laid back. I can't tell if physics is just easy or if shes just a really good teacher. She makes you want to be in the class, my first experience like this, eventhough I still do not attend class often, i get anA
Even after i dropped her class to take physics on my own i could still go to her with questions.
I was surprised to learn she was not a first year teacher because she knows less than her students.
(Physical Science) Very easy A. Very nice person. Doesn't explain concepts too clearly.
hey, you can get into the desks from both sides!!! yeah, that about summed up the calibur of that class. There was no teaching involved. You had better already know the stuff, or you'd fail. I got mad enough that I dropped it at the semester.
