Mr. Dorr is the best english teacher in the department. While it's true that he is a tough grader on papers (it's almost impossible to get above a B ), you can tell that he really enjoys teaching the subject and knows exactly what he's talking about and how to explain it to his students. I've gotten to know him outside the classroom and he's been a great mentor, friendly, genuine and intelligent. A great person and teacher all around, English class was never boring!

Overall a very good teacher. Knows how to be funny and iteracts well with students, but still teaches well. Does favor some students a little more than others and some assignments are boring while others are interesting. Overall one of the best teachers you can get.

I love Mr. Dorr. I had him last year and got more out of one year of English with him than I did during my first two years of high school English. Just don't bring plastic water bottles to class or spill crumbs on his floor and you'll stay on his good side.
