Can be more than a little insane at times and doesn't always communicate well. However, the things I've learned in his class will stay with me for a long time. He cares more about his students then he lets on. He also runs the drama department which add another level to his character and teaching. I suggest talking his honors class even if you have no intention of taking AP.
Mr. Finley is a good person sometimes. He knows many jokes and will tell them throughout the year. However, he is very clumsy and outraged sometimes. This year two incidents happened where my friends/ I did something, he forgot/lost it, and yet never compensated for our efforts. You dont even write much in his class and he is the slowest grader known to man. Plus when he gets angry, either he puts on an act or has anger issues cause he makes a HUGE scene that could have been solved easier.
The most interesting man I have ever met, four years at west Seattle high and he has taught me the most by far. Never have I had more respect for somebody than I do for Finley
He's a great teacher, he's very well educated and that represents itself through his teaching. I've never had a teacher with such immense knowledge and he has a great sense of humor.
He's always a good mentor and has been a great teacher for all four years I've been at the school.
Students do hardly anything in his LA class. He's a great guy but even in his AP class we don't do anything. I hear he's a great drama teacher and the spring musicals are good.
the drama teacher, loves to teach shakespeer and will substitute drama ciriculum for english in an english class.
