Mr. Amato is one of the most patient teachers I have ever met. Whenever you have a question, he will always try his best to answer it. Physics is not an easy course to everyone, however, he can always give us real-life examples and help us visualize the concept so that it will be easier for us to understand. Most importantly, he is a very caring teacher. He has taught me a lot other than physics.
Okay. This was my experience of the first day.
Amato is nice, fun-ish, and wants you to participate. He is a lot like Mr. Laliberte in that he explains basic things extensively.
For insight, our first homework assignment is to look him up and find something about him.
I think that 2015-16 will be a great year for physics!
Loved his class. So interesting, but hard (it is physics). Seriously, you just have to do the work and study! He doesn't supply study guides, but I mean, there's problems at the end of every chapter in the book. Take my advice: do some of those problems and you'll do well. Also- if you need to stay after, give him a heads up and he'll be there. Everyone else just doesn't want to take the blame for not studying/not paying attention/goofing off in labs.
LOL he tried to teach ap physics, but doesn't know any calc. Literally impossible to get worse than a B in his class b/c of the curve.
Although I generally complain about Amato, in reality, he is a very great teacher. Although the notes are pretty much from the book the way he explains them makes it easy to understand. While his tests are challenging it's not too bad if you do the mixed review problems from the book, in fact a lot of them are variations of problems we did for homework or in class, so for those complaining ask yourself this, did you actually do the work or just copy the work from someone else?
lol to whoever said he is so good looking......................... but he's a good teacher his class is interesting
so good looking which makes it easy to listen to him... if you pretend to pay attention he will like you.
He makes us practice the problems that will not be on the test at all. He thinks we can figure out ridiculously hard questions that we've never seen before He teaches but it doesnt matter Ppl r gonna fail on tests anyways
MR. AMATO IS THE WORST TEACHER I'VE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE. he explains things in class very well, but then puts things on his RIDICULOUSLY HARD TESTS, that i've never seen before. extremely unfair, compared to feldman
good teacher but his tests are really difficult. also, work hard and pay attention in class and he'll treat you with respect.
best physics teacher, and by far, one of the coolest teachers at amity... makes difficult material look simple and is easy to approach for questions... those who say he's not that good don't even look once at the book
mr. amato's the man! he makes physics seem really interesting and is the best physics teacher of the three... he also really cares about his students understanding the material, and doing well in his class; highly recommended
Amato is a decent teacher. He basically just gets his notes out of the book and reads them to you and explains them. He sometimes gets caught up and forgets what to do in the problems. His tests are really hard and unfair.
doesnt seem to like teaching or care about his students doing well
Nice guy, but has a weak command of the material - needs to learn it from other teachers as we progress, but still weak
often can't answer simple questions i have & is unclear on much of the material
