- I wish i could give Mrs. Allen a 100 on clarity..she goes step-by-step, line-by-line on EVERY single essay we write. She is the best english teacher I've had. She doesn't do vocab tests or reading tests or anything like that. I really hope I get her again for senior year because she also helps you on your college app. essay. You are reallyyy lucky if you get her :)

- She is the best teacher in all of Torrey Pines. I had her as a Freshman. Its an easy class, all you have to do is care about your heading in MLA just do the essays she assigns (you do it in class together, and at home) and you get an A. Pray you get this teacher!!!!!

- Mrs. Allen is by FAR the BEST teach at Torrey PInes :) She actually cares about her students!!! She doesnt grade hw...so you dont have to do it. She never has any tests or quizzes on book contet either!!! All we get grades for are the essays we right (most we write at home :)) The things she says are sooo meaningful! You are luck if you have Mrs. Allen :))) I have a horrible english teacher this year :( I want to take a time machine back to last yr. when I had Mrs. allen!!!! :))

She is so smart and so nice...she makes her class seem hard at the beginning, but don't switch out! You will regret so much...I love her class and her style...I have learned more in her class than in all of my other English classes combined. Oh, btw, she gives great insight on your college application essays...helped me A LOT.(permalink) (report)

I love Mrs. Allen. She is a very good teacher. She plans each lesson carefully and really helps you for college essays and the AP test. Makes a lot of "jokes" that no one gets though...(permalink) (report)

I'm in her eng lit class. She is stubborn but really pulls at us to give good insight into what we're reading. Her strong opinions are hard to disagree with, make sure to not just accept everything she says in her class. Have your own opinions, she likes that (I think?). Not very close to her students. But that's how I think teachers should be.(permalink) (report)
