AP comp is low on hw, but it is still an extremely hard class. AP style mc is a GIFT, but some of the book tests suck because the details are so irrelevant. Their Eyes Were Watching God was one of my favorite books, but I did not enjoy the test at all. First semester was my first B, but I'm cruzin in second with an A. God bless. Pagani is very sweet and has an interesting voice.
FRQ DOUBLE SPACE, BLUE INK. trust me.
She's awesome :)
One of the best teachers I've ever had. She is extremely knowledgeable and loves her job. It is a very hard class but if you put in a little bit of effort it goes a long way. She'll help you succeed if you show interest
She's tough but smart. Her reviews are obviously written by the kids who make her need to take cell phones away. Talk to her one on one and she will help and appreciate it. Old fashioned but at least smarter than a lot of other Tesoro English teachers. Not an easy A. Do not expect to turn in homework late and get an A.
You're not going to get an A. She's a nice lady at heart, but very strict. Show up, pay attention, do the work and you'll have a get a B. If you're going to coast you'll get your C. Being a top writer in the class does not equal a top grade.
I cant deny the fact that she is nice like an old lady. She doesn't like to clarify and she is very very "old school". She is oblivious to modern times and looks like she has the mentality of a six year old. At least she curves her final. phew
Constantly an issue, always seemed to be her time of the month or she was on menopause.
I notice this with a lot of English teachers. They spend lots of time grading in class while the students just sit there, working on their own thing. Pagani is the archetype for that English teacher mold. You will do literally nothing during class.
I had her for English 1 and was not that great of a teacher. She is VERY strict with grading, and is impossible to get an A on any assignment or test. She also lost my stuff multiple times. The good side is that she is pretty nice if you talk to her alone, she is pretty nice and energetic and she gives a lot less homework than Willet or Harnet. But she wouldn't be my first choice of teacher.
I've had a lot of ups and downs in this class, but been able to manage a B. However, this was the first class I ever felt like I had no hope of getting an A, so it was hard to deal with. Pagani herself can be very helpful in a one-on-one situation where you can ask specific questions, but that doesn't happen all the time. Over the last few months, I've learned she's incredibly lazy and doesn't like to grade or read essays in depth. Overall, probably the biggest thorn in my side in school. Period
If you are used to being an A student, don't expect it in her AP Comp. class. Even the super smart ones get the B. Somehow, she doesn't want anyone to get a good GPA.
we didn't really do anything in ap comp this year. we literally just sat around and "analyzed" articles and whatnot. don't get me wrong - she's very nice and enthusiastic and we did cover the necessary terms we needed to know for the exam, but the actual class is boring.
At first, her English I Acc class seems challenging, but after a while, you get used to it. Got an A both semesters. Great teacher.
Personally, I found her English I Acc. class a little too strict. The grading is tough; be prepared to analyze a lot of literary works. It's hard to achieve an A in this class.
Lacks organization skills. Grades unfairly. Very hard class to get through.
She is nice. However she tends to take off points without any reasoning. She has some favorites, too.
After having Hinshaw, you learn to appreciate the (comparatively) down-to-earth style of Mrs. Pagani.
Had her 1st semester last year. She's really nice and good at teaching comp. so I liked her class, even if it was in P6.
lay off it takes time to grade things and she gives a lot of work but i learned so much.if you get yelled at then you said something stupid and it wasnt funny
Of course shes hard, but she helps you soooo much, and she is one of the NICEST ladies ever!! I love her, I had her for acc. and for a little comp.i <3 her!!!
very nice and funny, except for once a month, but i don't think she's very... smart.
I hate how I try so hard to be on her good side and these kids are obnoxious and loud and she just laughs along with them. When I say one word, I get in trouble
Give Pagani a break. That class is the highlight of my day.
Umm her class is to hard and always ahead of the others i hate it
Pagani is too hard, she treats ACC like its AP, and gives too much work, unreasonable grading, she could mark off so many points you'd be in the negatives.
At least you people don't have Hinshaw. Her hard grading pays off.
She is a really nice person and very fun at times but she makes sure you know why your in accerelated classes!
She's awesome. I love her. She's always there to help if you need it.
Arbitrary grading - explanations for mistakes are made up on the spot only when asked
ANN! Okay, seriously kids, be cool to her, and she's cool back.
Pagani is a really nice lady, but she is so hard. If you have her for comp, you will prob do well on the AP, but seriously she takes off points for no reason.
takes away points from essays and projects without the slightest explanation, criticism, or way to defend it.
I love Pagani.. She's been an amazing and a great teacher. I love her class, and I've learned so much about writing.
Pagani is great once you get to know her... her class can be a ton of fun... and i have learned soo much
She has improved my writing so much. I cannot say enough about this somewhat quirky, but overall amazing, English teacher!
She is a perfect example of America's educational system, anyone can be a teacher.
