WHAT EVEN IS IT. ITS LIKE 100000000000 years old and knows ABSOLUTELY nothing.
Ms. Dunn is very nice and funny and a great teacher. You will learn a lot about literature in her class and if you actually try in her class it will be fun and you will get a good grade.
She's pretty passive aggressive during class but she's also nice and I like her as a person but her grading is the worst thing you'll ever encounter. She never returns stuff and her assignments are impossibly difficult and you'll always fail :)
We spend full class periods of her just ranting on some random crap
She's got the english teacher flea market aesthetic thing goin on and pushes the 'worldly soul' persona a little too hard. Is super salty!- she insults you like a physical trainer would only she's 4 times as old and 5 times as skinny. She's gotten countless complaints so if your parents are involved she's a sweetheart. We spent so long on that turtle from The Grapes of Wrath that its a joke now...a blow up turtle really surfs the crowd at assemblies and everyone acts like its a compliment.
she's super salty and teaches you nothing, almost like senora nelson, except at least senora nelson graded our stuff
Dunn is a sweetie and LOVES drama kids, but she will definitely hate you if you dont exceed her high expectations. Not good at turning things in on time though!
Don't expect for 3/4 of what you do to even be graded.
Now this is the story all about how Me and my class don't like Ms. Dunn so I'd like to take a moment you sit right there, and I'll tell you Dunn became laughing stock here.
Well, Summer of 2010 Freshman Days, where I was reading some books for and English Grade, Each more boring than the last, that ain't to joke, but we haven't even reached the worst part yet, folks, now in my senior year, and can you guess what, that work's never been graded, it's just collecting dust.
Ms. Dunn has highs and lows. She has truly taught me to read deeper, but she expects an unreasonable amount of detail. I enjoyed class discussions because they were deep and profound. Very slow on grading which sucks.
Loved Ms. Dunn so much! Had a great time in Greek Drama-fest, book discussions were really interesting, teacher was delightful. Have to congratulate Ms. Dunn on putting up with so many ungrateful lazy students year after year without complaint. :)
Terrific! She prepared her students for college and life outside of school, and created lesson plans that combined insightful analysis and real-world applications of the themes. I am so glad I had Ms. Dunn at Eastside. She was my favorite teacher.
I had this crazy lady back in 2005 and remember the experience enough to come write about it right now, 8 years later. Dunn was horrible. She chooses favorites, and picks people to hate just as randomly. Wanna know when I got back the summer reading essays due on the first day of school? They were in a stack. At the IB exam. After classed had ended. At the end of the year. SO helpful... If you're not a horse, she doesn't care about you. The End.
If you like getting your midterm essay back un-graded at the end of the year, being told that you aren't good enough for IB, being called out and humiliated in front of the class for not meshing with her irrelevant teaching style, and working with passive aggressive English teachers past their expiration date, then this is the class for you.
As previously stated, she is passive-aggressive to the maximum. The class is easy sure, but only because she only grades a handful of assignments the whole year, for example, my class, as part of our final exam, were given papers from throughout the year, and instructed to rate them based on how we though we did. . She was having us grade our work for her, on the last day of school. She also is prone to unnerving mood swings and is extremely judgmental of students
This teacher knows a lot about literature! She constantly provides in depth details regarding literary elements. Her class takes effort and attention. She was once a yoga teacher, and owns a horse farm. She is both spontaneous and accepting of new ideas. Don't get on her bad side though, she doesn't tolerate trouble makes and people who just don't care. A highlight of the year is writing and performing a Greek play wright. This is overall, an exciting and enjoyable class.
Not a bad teacher, but her sense of humor is strange. The class is pretty boring and don't ever expect to get anything returned.
I am still scarred by her class. The way she rubbed my shoulders *Shudders*. I might sue for psychological trauma.
Shes funny, but somewhat strict; although if u have a couple talkers i her class that she likes you will have a good time
she is such an awsome teacher, i find her class the most interesting and helpful!!
she expects the best from you and wants you to expect the same from yourself. do the work and you'll leave a better writer
Didn't technically have you but got to know you through writing, and your a cool person. Keep it up.
I spent the first few weeks of high school wishing I had the other teacher, but by the end, I wouldn't have traded Dunn for anything. She's awesome!
you won't like her while you have her but, in retrospect, she's an excellent teacher
