She's extremely strict, maybe a bit too strict. You learn nothing in her class, only vocabulary. BUT, she does tell you which textbook pages to review so as long as you follow her instructions, the class should be a breeze. She's really clear and organized so you shouldn't have an excuse for failing (she literally writes out everything that's going to be on the test). She loves me but hates everyone else LOL. You might find this class annoying but bear with it and do everything you have to do.
She is annoying and some of her practices are pretty stupid but just study 2 or 3 hours before each test on everything she said would be on it and you should be able to get a low 90. Also do the homework it takes like 10 minutes, I do it in my class before.
Ms.lorca is odeee annoying. For the first half of the year she wont call on you unless you have ur name card even if she knows your name. On tests she takes off points for accents which is understandable and punctuation which is stupid. And dont even think about packing up early . Overall shes not a bad teacher. You can do well if you do the hw but shes just so freakin annoying.
Everyone complaining about Ms. Lorca is just a lazy student. She tells you literally EVERYTHING that's going to be on the test, so there's no excuse not to receive a high 90. You MUST do the hw because it helps a lot, and only takes about 20 mins. (:
she rushes through and speaks very fast. is not very comprising as a person. if u work for ur grade u can get one, i decided to be lazy though. decent teacher i guess
oh such a difficult class :'( i found myself struggling to keep over a 70! (and i love french). I'd tell you to transfer but there arn't many good french teachers to go to. all i can say is GOOD LUCK! just do her hw and go to tutoring for help. shes a big b*tch tho, so you just need to be nice & polite.
ahh, madame lorca.. she was a good teacher, though i doubt she liked me. very clear and easy, just do your homework everyday and youll do fine. only things that bother me are that she gives the homework when or after the bell rings, and doesnt let you pack up early even when theres only 30 seconds left of the class, and still expects you to do an exercise at that time. but shes nice, i complained about her giving the hw so late once not realizing shes behind my back and she just let it go.
Madame Lorca... Strict but a great teacher. It's up to the student if they want to get a good grade. If you do her work and study her review sheets(which are so amazingly helpful) you'll do just fine. Her tests however, do get harder as the curriculum prolongs. She's a fluent french speaker ( ) oh and she'll randomly call on you so be ready. All in all she's a great person, very sweet just strict. She MIGHT have a slight ocd problem because everything is always in order in her class.
I love this lady shes an amazing french teacher, coming from a teacher from whom i learned nothing I've learned so much in her class I wish she taught french 3, shes reallly good. Just pay attention and don't aggravate her. Shes always available for tutoring afterschool or during lunch she's always there for students who need help.
try to pay attention, kinda ocd, made you sing every semester..like wtf
I don't know about other people, but i loved M. Lorca. If you do the homework and participate, she will be very nice. i can't wait to have her for AP French! I learned so much in her class. If only other people would pay attention, they would learn a lot too.
She is terrible! She doesnt let students talk to each other, not even to ask questions! And well she is pretty mean, and no one really likes her. She is too strict.
Index cards. That is all. Good luck to all you AP French takers.
nice teacher as long as u dont ask to use the bathroom; quizes and tests range from easy to fair :D and she always prepares u for them anyways. AP French is pretty fun, ull never get bored because her lessons are well planned and if u need help, go afterschool
Pass your tests, and participate and you're pretty much guarenteed a 95+. Her quizzes are REALLY easy, and I managed to get 100s on all of them. She's a good teacher and will prepare you for the finals. :D
nice teacher, helped me out with my problems. best spanish teacher
Abit of a control freak, times class activities with a stop watch, and you have one time through the semester to use the bathroom. Other than her rules she really cares about her students and her french class. Mme. LLorca is a neat teacher!
She's a very fair teacher. Last year I was a bit afraid of her and didn't like her class because she's... scary at times. This year I actually want her back! Just do your work and you'll be fine. I actually miss her now. My current teacher is not strict at all but she dosen't teach! And in the beginning she didn't stay for tutoring so I had to go back to Lorca for help. She's very helpful! But..she's not exactly the easiest teacher if that's what you're looking for.
she has harsh rules but she's fare, her grading isn't that bad.
Her class is hard-I got a 75 in spanish I. I had a different teacher in spanish II, where I got a 98. She does give a lot of zeros =/. GIVE THE POOR KIDS A BREAK PLEASE, SRA LORCA.
shes mean..i didnt like her..tho i can tell she tries..she actually helped me learn a lot..but if onlyyy...she could b nicer n gove so many zeros for gum..n ya..shes strcit about lateness sooooo much
She is really demanding, but she tries really hard to make sure you learn something.
If you listen in her class, she'll help you more. She's ok if you try.
Lorca can be very strict and "mean" but overall, SHE IS A PERSON TOO! She knows how to have fun and can be nice if she wants to be. She does have favorites and will show it subtley. Make sure you're one of them by participating a lot and getting good test grades. Her tests are difficult, getting good grades is quite the challenge. You will have to work hard! She is nicer to her AP students, no doubt. Much much more understanding.
I had her for Freshman Spanish and it was painful memorizing dialogues everyday and presenting them to the class. For a shy person, it was difficult because if you spoke softly doing the dialogue, she would deduct points. What does that have to do with Spanish proficiency?
shes not that bad. she is very helpful all you need to know is there. You actually learn a lot in her class. Shes a little strict, but she really knows her french.shes fair.
she is an ok teacher, but she is way to hard. and very BORING
As long as you show effort (do hw) she is morethanwilling to help you, talking to her after class and being "serious about her topic" are skills that can help you no matter what level of education. she truly makes u want to do better and encourages you along the way
love her professional teaching. i'm learning so much more
UGH! She is okay, but it's so boring. She doesn't give any good test grades. Even though I've learned a lot, I haven't had fun. and that's what counts. I just can't seem to get invovled. But I did pretty good. I just don't like her style of teaching; How she makes us repeat stuff. And she gives too much work for one period plus I hate how she makes us work untill the very end. I MEAN WHAT'S THE POINT OF GOING OVER THE HW?????? I feel like her class is just busy work and not work to learn. I dunno!!!!!!!!!!!
she only speaks in french to us (AP french class) and it's hard to figure out what shes saying, her tests hare hard, but the readings she gives arent too bad
She's such a nice person and she tries so so hard as a teacher. She has all these great plans and so much enthusiasm. But, i'ts so hard to pay attention to her.
dedicated spanish teacher. learned so much. 99 on the Regents. Thanks again!!!
she's a really hard teacher and strict but she teaches really well and out of all the french teachers... ive learned most from her
I thought she was nice. Dont like quizzes evry week, tho. I learned lots from her class. gave me an 85. Not the best, but whatever. I aint too good @ french!
overall very bad teacher focuses too much onlittle details and expects us to memorize by repeating. horrible. gets mad at u for following directions shegave
she's a nice person but her tests are really hard and confusing too many extra words and too many rules in the class i used to like her more
Whats up with the repeating it to the partner next to you thing? Moves way too quickly, and simply says "memorize it" and doesn't actually teach. Poor ratings.
yes you do learn french but she pays too much attention on artistic talent, a PUPPET! seriously...we had to make a guillon...how sad...
watever... just a period to do math hw... good teacher though...
She is really mean and she only lets you go to the bathroom 3 times. And she yells at you for sneezing!
i used to like ms.lorca...and then she became very annoying and i started to dread going to her class. i dropped french because of her
kinda makes the lanuage annoying she should concentrate on other aspects of the language and so much on the pronunciation
i liked her till she gave me a bad grade :( on my final report card. not nice.
Her grading system is really strict but a good teacher nevertheless. I hate those tests though but they're easy =]
learned a lot in her class. i might actually be able to speak french well and pass =]
i hate her 5 part 25 question spread over 5 weeks test she tries to finish (she dint even finish giving it)... she cant make up any tests
Cool teacher. Explains things well. Don't like her tests.
yeah right, easy tests - takes off for everything, but a good french teacher
Y'all betta chill! Lorca's so nice... and her tests are too easy for words!!
She's really really nice and her fill in tests are EASY!
She is the BEST french Teacher....... You will love her
Fail 1st+2nd, passed term cuz I didn't have a absence note until the end
gives hw every single day, and repeats things over and over but can be kool
she is the best teacher that anyone can ask for for Foreign Language
she is the best foreign language teacher u will ever have
This is the only language class where you'll actually learn a lot
she focuses on pronounciation much more than grammar and vocab (DUMB)
