Not the best teacher I've had but he explains thing pretty well and his study guides do a very good job of helping with the tests.
Hes good but you might fall asleep, a great class to take if you need and extra 45 minutes of sleep during the school day
he is a good teacher in general, but his teaching style is boring/repetitive. Would be better if he can maybe switch it around a bit, so It wouldn't always stay the same.
He is a decent teacher but he is literally a robot with model American family weekends.
do all the work and you'll be fine
Mr Gallego is knowledgable about Bio Honors, but not a very good teacher. He doesn't teach and just assigns notes out of a textbook no one understands. If you are entering Freshman year, DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS.
knows his stuff but very boring
We take notes all the time. It is super boring to be in his class. Also we do this thing where one row each week has to talk about their weekend, usually on Monday, which is probably the funnest thing we ever did in that class. I had him 7th which was horrible and atleast 10 people dropped that class. We don't do any projects or fun activities. I can't imagine having him for bio honors.
Mr. Gallego is one of the best teachers I've had at Mountain View. He was extremely well organized, clear in his expectations, and structured his class in a way that allowed kids to succeed. His lectures explain the content well and many of things he says are exactly what is on the test. I had him for both an honors and a regular class and was one of my best teachers both years. If you take the time to ask him questions he explains concepts well and will help you.
one of the best teachers i've ever had. he's always extremely clear and is amazing at explaining material. chem was so easy.
Many of the negative reviews seem to be from people who need hand holding and all info fed to him Note and lectures are a big part of science and he is more than qualified to teach these subjects. He is a realist and won't baby you.
I'm surprised to see all these low ratings. I had him years ago when he was new and he was awesome, so maybe he's just lost his passion for teaching. Though I would too given how half of these ratings seem to be from kids who can't even spell properly. I'm inclined to believe he's still a good teacher, there are just too many stupid kids getting coddled for "trying". Mr. Gallego is a realist who will not baby you. If you don't like that, tough luck. Because that's how the real world is. Grow up.
Had him for Bio Honors and he was extremely unhelpful, he just assigns notes and lets kids teach himself. I could have honestly self-studied his class with textbook and taken the final exam and done better than if I spent all that time in his class. HE IS THE WORST TEACHER IN MVHS SCIENCE DEPT. AND PERHAPS THE WORST TEACHER IN MVHS. I guarantee you that if he took his own final exam that he wrote, he would not get higher than 50%. Thank god he got demoted to Bio regular, and I pity his students
Anyone who is wondering what hell on earth is like, definitely attend a Gallego lecture and you will get an accurate representation. I would rather watch a Charlotte Bobcats game than listen to his crappy teaching. The one thing I would ask of him is to actually teach the damn class. All he does is assign notes and let you teach yourself. Also I would ask for the tests to be on what we "learn", stressing "learn".
Mr.Gallego is a wonderful science teacher his class is rather simple because the notes are the same style all year but he is very organized and clear about what will be on the tests and what the tests will be like. If you actually pay attention in class, don't fall asleep, and take the notes I can assure you you will be happy with your grade. He is a fair grader and cares very much about his job and students and is always willing to give you help. He has a quirky sense of humor for a fun class
Mr. Gallego is a great teacher! If you do the notes and listen in class, you'll do fine. He gets kinda boring sometimes but he's definitely passionate about his job and he cares about all his students.
I thinks that his lectures is like the book. I had a hard time reading and absorbing all the information in the book, and i wished he could have done better teaching. For some, this is there first honors class and we need a little bit more guidance.
he is cool, kinda funny. after a while notes get kinda boring, but you always know whats going on. he makes shure you understand everything. (he is very organiz
A hard class overall, but I actually understand things! I've never gotten a B in any science before this. You definately learn in his class.
he's a good guy, but needs to vary up the teaching a bit. notes get so tedious. he has endless overhead lessons. it gets boring.
The class is pretty cool. Hes easy to understand and hes really awesome at times.
very boring during note time and if i could change one thing i would have him find a way to make notes interesting so everyone cares and UNDERSTANDS
He's a good teacher and overall a great guy! he's really helpful and entertaining
