HES THE NICEST EVER!!!! I don't even know if teachers check these anymore but he deserves to know how nice he is. Sometimes kids will be talking and he'll just sit and wait for them to stop or just let them talk while giving instructions. I wish people respected him more because he's the coolest. HE WORE A PUMPKIN SWEATER ON HALLOWEEN AND IT WAS THE MOST ADORABLE THING I"VE EVER SEEN.

Mr. Wass is the best teacher ever. He teaches you well and is just a very understanding and helpful man. He opened my eyes to the real world. Honestly Mr. Wass is probably the best teacher in the whole world and the experience I had in his class was like no other. He also prepared you well for the AP exam.

best teacher ive ever had and ever will. honestly the nicest teachers ive talked to, so understanding, laid back and loves his students. work load is minimal because we analyze things in class. if you feel like we dont do anything, then thats because you dont participate. he tries so hard to discuss interesting literature and art and be open to the students. hes my role model and gained my respect from day one.

It's pretty easy to get a good grade in this class, but it's up to the student to decide how much they want to get out of it. A lot of people say that they wish that we did more, but the reason they feel like we don't do so much is because the class is more discussion based, and if people don't participate, it's harder to have quality dialogue. He knows that students are tired of being treated like kids, so he gives us a sort of adult-like environment in which to learn. Overall, a great teacher.

I am in his class right now and we are actually doing nothing.. like every other day of this semester. One day we just drew the whole time. This is the only class where I wish we actually did stuff.

He's someone who believes in stidents learning and development of students more so than giving a bunch of work. That being said you can blow off the class and still get a decent grade but you can also come out of it with a lot more knowledge than you had.
Also hes one of the nicest, most down to earth people I have come across at this school.

Literally the only class I've ever had where I wish I was learning more. I wish I had more homework. We don't do jack squat in this class. We had multiple days where we just drew pictures for the entire class period. We didn't even discuss them or anything! At least he's nice... I have this theory that he's just conducting a decades long experiment to see how adolescents react to a class with virtually no structure or expectations.

I can't speak for his classes besides AP Rhetorical Analysis, but Mr. Wass was literally the best teacher I've ever had. He is someone that actually makes you feel like he cares about you and respects you as a person. He is super laid back and very easy to approach. He is so nice and understanding it's ridiculous.
Keeping all of that in mind, if you're looking for something challenging, you won't get it from his class (AP Rhet. at least). We watched like 7 movies and had 0 tests.

He teaches a good senior english class because it's more of a college format: a few major assignments that make up the semester grade. He taught us to be self-organized and self-motivated.
