By far one of the worst teachers I have ever had. He assumes you understand the material just because he does. He intentionally tries to call people out and make them feel stupid in front of the whole class. While he is really smart, he has no idea how to teach and leaves you feeling confused and defeated every day. I had to teach myself every topic on Khan Academy and only passed the tests because he doesn't care if you cheat.

To be fair, Orso is very smart and he knows his physics inside out. However, he is an awful teacher and cannot communicate concepts effectively to students. In his class, everything is either "intuitive" and "intellectually obvious," and unless you have a PhD in physics, you will most likely get stuck on at least one unit. He is slightly more helpful 1 on 1 but be prepared for demeaning comments. His tests can range from easy to hard, but it's easy to cheat in his class because he doesn't care.

I took Mr Orso for AP Physics and AP Chem years ago. He is a great teacher for those that want to be challenged. If you think he is too hard then dont take his class. He uses real world examples that some think are too difficult but he is an excellent teacher that can get you where you want to go if taken seriously

One on one, he generally explains things well, but sometimes he'll just get frustrated at your lack of knowledge and do it himself (sometimes on tests). His style of "teaching" is to dive right into solving problems as a class with no introduction of any sort.

I'd say the most condescending teacher I've ever had. Instead of encouraging, he was always ready to put someone down. As a youth, I thought something was wrong with me to be treated this way. Now that I'm an adult, I know that he shouldn't be given access to our developing young adults.

lol mr orso is one of the smartest teachers in the school but he simply does not teach. there are two kind of kids in his class, those who cheat and those who fail. He expects everyone to be a genius and hes kind of intimidating but he sells fish which is cool

Very funny teacher who looks like Einstein. I really enjoyed his class even though I was always the one being shot into a garbage can or dropped out of a building.

I don't know why, after all the years he's taught at MHS, he still expects so much from his students.

My favorite teacher. If you pay attention, and I mean really pay attention, he teaches you all you need to know. He's a hilarious guy, with great lessons and great labs. Tough class, but very fun.

Though Mr. Orso is funny sometimes, he is extremely unhelpful and expects you to know so much more than you actually do. And he needs to take a shower.

bad teacher. goes off on tangents and puts things you never heard of on tests. he talks and you listen and it goes in one ear and out the other. he should work in the private sector not waste his intellect when combined with bad teaching skills
