Once you get to know her and she gets to know you, she has amazing insight on many life experiences that she is so willing to share. While she can be sporadic and perhaps a little disorganized at times, she is always willing to help you out, especially one on one. Her directions aren't always entirely clear, but she treats students like adults and naturally creates an environment where everybody respects each other.
Barbara is a quirky character, and you learn to adore her. Her teaching style is scatterbrained, and you must put in substantial effort to learn in class. But she creates fun events, like the Teddy Roosevelt Murder Mystery Dinner, and is extremely knowledgable about all four subjects (English, Journalism, AP US History, and government.) If you have a good attitude and do your reading at home, you'll have a great time.
A very nice lady. Class was way unorganized and she crams too much in one class. Her lessons never helped prepare for tests. I didn't always want to come, but enjoyed being around her. Shes's NUTTY.
