Honestly, pay attention in class and ask questions. During class he goes over the important problems that will be on the test. Don't do the homework, google the answers or copy off someone else.
Had him for honors and AP
Alright so in terms of the class itself, Beckner teaches both honors and ap physics and both of those classes are hard as hell. However, Beckner is up there as one of the most knowledgeable teachers at kamiak along with Mr. Davis and the higher up math teachers. If you ever have a question he's usually able before and after school to help you. The tests are pretty confusing and he trolls you sometimes with weird questions but he makes sure to put a huge curve to compensate for that.
The class was so freacking hard. His voice put me to sleep. He's super smart though and knows what he's talking about.
Mr. Beckner is super smart and will put in the time to teach you something you don't understand. He is down to earth and is always up for jokes and sarcasm. If you want an interesting class and a little room to slack off, take physics :)
He provides good explanations and reinforces his teaching by applying his lessons to real world situations. He also makes cool sound effects when drawing diagrams on the board.
I never paid attention in his class. [Sorry! XD] But, he was a good teacher nevertheless.
Haha, he burned his eyebrows off when I had him for advanced chemistry, but he seemed like a nice guy.
Very funny, very nice. Class is interesting and labs are fun. homework=easy. tests=HARD! you can do well in the class and still fail the ap exam. but i still <3 mr beckner.
Haha, awesome at teaching physics. He makes things so clear and easy to understand. It's great.
mr. beckner is very cool. while i admit he does kind of put me to sleep, he nevertheless really does love physics/science in general and is a great guy, very friendly/funny
