Her first language is Spanish so obviously she isexperienced with it, but for more complicated concepts (eg. subjunctive), she cannot explain it. We don't take formal notes, usually just worksheets.
She teases some people, but we know she's just joking and having fun.
But I lost respect for her, realizing that the class was not productive, she had no real evident passion for teaching, and I did drop Spanish because of her. Her midterm/finals were a compilation of worksheets we did in class.
My favorite teacher this year!! She is so nice and expects a lot from her students, but rewards them very well if they please her! Love her!
Under rated teacher probably one of my favorite teachers. She is mean yet you can tell that she cares whether or not you are understanding the Material. Tough Love.
She is a great teacher. She is one of those rare ones, very stern and proud of her work. She's probably better to learn spanish from considering the fact that she is Cuban. Pretty much she shows tough love to the kids, and teaches them not only spanish but how to work independently and be proud of it.
I was really looking forward to learning spanish this year in the honors class. I don't think Senora Decurtis is a bad person, I just wish she spent more time teaching and less complaining.
I like her caring way and her explanations are easy for me.
Wow, we learned a lot of Spanish this year! I'll probably forget it all over the summer tho :-(
