If you do the work there is no reason to dislike her. She is hard, yes, but prepares you very well for all tests, writings, etc.
Having Mrs. Brickley is hard because I feel she doesn't clearly answer a question, or when you are asked a question she doesn't acknowledge what you just said at all. As for her personality I could care less, her teaching is sub-par and her grading is too excessive. Be ready for "and?" being put on your paper when you clearly know what you are talking about and did the notes. You will always feel what you are doing is not enough, she doesnt teach, its more like shes saying "look what I know".
Seriously, Mrs. Brickley is one of the best teachers you will ever have in High School. I went in thinking I was going to drop, but you learn so much! She's a great person
Everybody tells incoming students to drop Mrs. Brickley if you get her, however, she was one of the best teachers I've ever had. Once you understand that she expects a lot out of her students, and if
Brickley is a great teacher. If you say you hate her it's just because you couldn't handle her work. Yes, she can be a hard teacher, but she is doing her job. Well. And she's really nice. :)
She is a great teacher, the people who say she isn't are just the ones who couldn't handle her hard work. Once you live through a month with her, she turns fun, she really prepares you for next 3 year
Once you go on to other classes you will realize that Mrs. Brickley taught her students how to write a proper history essay. My first non- Brickley essay all her students aced it when others did not.
Though she may not be the most well liked, in the long run her teaching style does prepare you for the greater stresses of state tests.
She is not specific or forthcoming in helping you improve your work, but is unavailable, makes assignments up without saying a word, but treats parents as condescendingly and rudely as her students.
She knows a load of junk, but it's as if she expects us to be a class of genious children. Her tests are terribly written. It's hard to figure what she's asking. But at least she gives us candy. ;D
Although she is a hard grader, Mrs. Brickley is a great teacher. I learned how to write and work efficiently. Plus, she helped me get a 5 on the AP US exam.
Don't take her class if you just want the GPA bonus. Chances are you won't get it. She's unclear about what she wants, so study hard for tests. Be prepared to do the learning on your own time.
Mrs. Brickley was a pretty good teacher for accel. US but she is absolutely awful for ap. Is very mean when you ask questions, and unclear about what she wants a lot of the time.
yeah she is hard but get over it it is a fun class and it will help you on the AP test, everything after her is easy
A very subjective lady... Very knowlegable, but has trouble communicating what she wants. Be warned, your child will spend many nights up late for this demanding class, it's hard.
I couldnt have said it better. Great teacher who demands excellence of her students.
I don't know what everyone is complaining about, Brickley is the best. You have to work, but otherwise her class is awesome
Brickley is ridiculously hard, and she disliked me a lot last year. AP is easy after having her, and you learn SO MUCH. it's easy to get a good grade if you TRY
She's tough but everyone that goes to college that had her says she's the best!
Best teacehr ever! Hard but boy does it pay off later!
Tough but you learn a lot. Too many babies complain about her!
Very cool, intelligent lady. Knows what she is talking about, but she isnt the best teacher. You have to be very much self motivated.
An Extremely hard Teach. U'll learn alot from her class but you really need to push yourself. She explains things way too fast.
shes awesome!! her classes are so funny and she gives us lollypops!! her hardness is really good too because it teached me alot about selfdispline!
Mrs. Brickley is a great teacher who actually knows what she's talking about, unlike a lot of other teachers. You guys who are dissing her are total jerks.
You can complain about DBQs all you want, but when you get to the AP test you will be glad that you practiced them.
well, she's the toughest teacher i've ever had, and her sausage fingers were scary, and she never did make mr. yanko do the spinning jenny dance..but she's ok
Although Mrs. Brickley is quite possibly the hardest teacher I've ever had, I feel like I've learned more in her class than in any other.
All you will learn is to hate her and her friend Marybeth Norton You will learn to despise two new letters of the alphabet from taking one of her classes: I&E.
Sometimes I try to think what it felt like to be in a concentration camp, then I think back to my days in Brickley's a.k.a The Mangler 's class....
Felt prepared for the AP test but wish she'd do more to help people who were struggling in the class instead of making them drop.
If you don't like Mrs. Brickley than you obviously cannot appreciate the teacher she is. If you think she's hard, wait until college.
I have to admit that I did learn a lot from her, but I can't stand the fact that she will never admit that she can be wrong, even when it is obvious.
I hated this class from the start. All I can say is thank god for band, I'll never have her again. The funniest thing about her is her hatred for the French.
Mrs. Brickley is a wonderful teacher for accelerated courses. If you dislike her, or find her class too hard, than you aren't ready for higher level education
She is the worst teacher ever. From the start, she already formed opinions of students. If she didn't like you, it was over. I hated that class with a passion.
One of the best teachers you can get. Although the class (especially ap us) is extremely hard, she is funny, nice, and very good at teaching.
yeah, I'm just sick her insensability. I'd rather have a machine dictate us the book all class than hear her speed through explanations really quickly.
Cankles, that all I have to say. She is not a nice person.
