Bill Eicher is one of the greatest teachers that I have ever had the honor of working under. Although he is a tough teacher and won't tolerate any slacking from his students, I have never met a teacher who cares more about his students. He has taught me everything I know about music and is the reason I'm pursuing a career in tuba performance next year in college.
Mr. Eicher is an incredibly passionate and knowledgeable instructor and that resonates through his teaching. He was tough with my class, but that's only because he cared so much about his students. He got the most out of us, and certainly got the most out of me (and that's saying a lot right there). I won't soon forget him.
He was horribly mean to my daughter in concert band
This guy teaches through embarrassment and intimidation. Made me hate playing my instrument. Could not wait for the year to end
Mr. Eicher made all of my high school band years worse. I loved the people in my section but always got sick of the favorites he had, the yelling there was, and the embarrassment he always brought upon me. He was though very knowledgeable and made me into a better musician, though made band less fun for me. Looking back, I wish I was in symphonic for longer, but band was average.
This man has my utmost respect. He is a phenomenal teacher and a knowledgeable musician. His rap on being a mean man is ridiculous. Work hard, show respect, and take leadership, and you won't have any problems with him. He is a kind man and a huge role model. I get the chance to see how he interacts with his daughter (she's in the band) and he treats her the same as all his students. If that doesn't show how good is character is, I don't know what will. He will forever be my favorite teacher.
i recall the day Mr. Eicher told us he was leaving PHS back in '96. a tear filled day! the gaping void he left behind was impossible to fill. the entire program suffered for several years. don't take him for granted! hi expectations, hi rewards.
no words to describe him....
Mr. Eicher is one of the greatest music teachers I have ever met. He inspired me to go on into the field of music education myself, with the goal of one day running an ensemble in a similar way that h
He is hilarious and a great teacher overall. Just don't get on his bad side and PRACTICE. Or your year will not be very good. I got kicked out of the band room more than any other player, but I still
Made me quit playing an instrument. Horrible Horrible! Doesent deserve to be teaching at clarence!!!
he is a very underated teacher. he pushes you to be a better musician and makes you a better person a long the way. and is very very funny!
good at music, tends to go off on irrelevant tangents.
Eicher just doesn't really know how to relate to students. He's a good musician, but not a great teacher. And he definitely picks favorites.
what you hear about the man is never usually good...at heart he's a real nice person, you just have to be in wind to see it and actually try...trust me, i didn't use to be a fan
He's a good conductor, but not great about understanding students. He's a nice guy, just got to realize that his kids are people, not machines that play notes.
Mr. Eicher has a bad rap, which he shouldnt. He is a great teacher but you have to work hard. He expects the best from you, however, it pays out in the end.
