Amazing teacher. You should take 1 Montera class before you graduate
Mr. Montera is the most knowledgable teacher I know. He somehow knows details about every minor event in history (american and every other country.) One class you can discuss the economic crisis in Columbia and the next he will be telling you about his juvenile childhood. With each essay you feel yourself getting more and more comfortable with writing and his footnotes will guide your success. I never failed to look forward to history and he is an incredible mentor.
One of the best teachers you will ever have. His ability to relate things to his students is absolutely amazing. Writing 1 essay a week is tough, but it's really helpful and you learn more from writing and researching instead of just reading textbooks. Get ready for the class of your life. :)
One of the most amazing teachers of all time. Had an uncanny ability to relate subjects to students and explain complex historical context and bring it to life. An avid grader, he would regularly grade 20-page papers for an entire class, carefully marking up the entire paper. I've never been more challenged and learned more in a class than with Bob.
Best teacher ever. 10/10 would have again
A great teacher, but at times the class can become very difficult. Most are marked up on their final grade though, so it all works out in the end.
He is my favorite teacher at fieldston and is always fair. he knows everything about anything that involves humanities and i wish i could have had him every year.
Mr. Montera is amazing. He makes you incredibly prepared for years to come.
He is easily one of the best teachers you will have at Fieldston. Class is always quirky, it may be having kids run to the field goal to pray for forgiveness from the history gods or the renaissance
He may not teach in an orthodox manner, but you sure as hell will remember a lot of what you learned!
the most unclear person in the world. does not teach in a chronological order. only tells stories that are uninteresting and do not pertain to history. the one thing i remember is the world dutch tulips. we had no tests because of a lack of learning anything. our essays were not hard but rather ridiculous concepts that were never explained.
hes clearly intelligent and an entertaining teacher but if you get him for ninth grade history you are screwed. he teaches in a completely un linear way and is disorganized. he avoids dates at all costs and his class gets boring.
AMAZING teacher! He sometimes has favorites but if your a strong essay writer, your good.
very popular and smart, but i don't think he's such a great teacher
he's pretty cool. and plus he has a ton of action figures
I loved this man. He was the most inspiring teacher I've ever had in my life.
Incredible teacher...funny helpful intelegent and full of zippy c. stories
Being such a great teacher gets to his head. i just don't buy intothe whole BOB MONTERA CULT.
This man is God. Between him telling you stories of his past and him sending kids to "kick a field goal", Bob M rocks your socks off.
Mr. Montera is amazing. Best year of history I've had by far. Keep up the incrediable work.
Where can I begin? His journalism class was enlightening--truly the Gospel according to Bob. He could make watching grass grow interesting.
Mr Baglio is an excellent teacher, his enthusiasm is so grasping in class it make it very enjoyable! Overall he is the best history teacher I have had
The best!!! There is not one thing that is not exceedingly interesting when Bob is teaching you about it.
It must be plainly stated tath montera is the most incredible teacher to ever.
I had Bob as a teacher back in the Mid-1980's and I still remember him as the only History teacher who helped me understand, connect and remember. Thank you.
This is the greatest teacher who ever lived. He should get a Bob! He is helpful, very funny, and overall just a cool guy!
so cool and funny. he is so intellectual. Viva LA musica. i love him
