I started out pretty well but I was kinda the class-clown (didn't interrupt or anything just lots o' jokes) and he started treating me poorly in class and soon that kind of treatment occurred by my classmates . I lost motivation and time in that class in general is hell (esp. if you get on his bad side). Skimp on study guides/not turning them in will definitely lower your test scores, don't do it. I probably would've done better with a bit more effort and a little less harsh treatment by him.
Had US and WHAP. Both were fun. Sarcastic in both but really funny, knowledgeable. Seems mean at first but really is not. Do the study guides for either class and you'll be fine. "Never settle for less than your best." Tissue = $0.05
He is very very sarcastic! Makes jokes all the time! He makes funny jokes at the girls but makes mean jokes at the boys. He plays Favorites and has all of them seated near his desk in the seating chart. Just stay quiet to avoid being made fun of by him like what I did. Saying 1 word will likely lead to a sarcastic joke by him! Academically, if you have him for normal U.S. History, expect a lot of AP style work. Study Guides are due every 2 days, Paragraph Writing every week and Tests are twice a Month. Study a lot since his Tests has many hard questions but if you love History like me, you will likely get an A
Entertaining teacher, somehow he makes you love his class... but he can be a real pain. King of Sarcasm. Try to make good first impressions or you'll suffer for the rest of the year. Study on your own, take good notes, and never skimp on information. He sometimes has surprise, "pop" mini-quizzes in class. The finals and MC are a real pain.
He's a pretty good lecturer and good at generalizing the overall gist of topics we're learning. But his tests are detailed so you really have to read the textbook and study HARD. Tbh, he kinda plays favorites... so if you work hard AND considered a favorite, then your grade should be solid. Regarding essays, he grades but doesn't really give feedback, so on the actual one, you kinda don't know what went wrong. Overall, if you're on his GOOD side and a decent student, you'll get an A.
He cusses.. a lot. Makes a lot of mean jokes, really sarcastic. He'll love you if you can make funny jokes. I have him for AP and he's an alright teacher at teaching, would be nice if he would go over the quizzes every time we take em since it can prepare us for the exam more. He plays favorites and if you're the smart one he'll love you! Cool teacher.
He can teach and put you down at the same time =] Awesome.
He's a cool teacher, but uses sarcasm a lot so if you are moody person better to move to another class. He gives a lot of homework, but hes very fair about grades
my sister said he is a good teacher so i can't wait to get him next year. but she also said some student hate hime but i think i'm going to like his class a lot. i can't wait to have his class. lol =]
Super funny teacher when you're not the one he's picking on. He gives you a lot of work but it's truly to benefit you in the end.
mr. marchand is the best. i hope i have him for apush next year. so soo cool and he helps me alot too. hes really funny. just do your work, and ask help when ever you need, then you will be ok.
Mr.M is the best. i hope i have him for apush next year. He's always helping us but he trys to make the class fun. he is rlly funny to! best class ever!
He taught well. The workload was alright, but he pulls you through. Very funny in apush podcasts. LOL
Teaching: Good. Sarcasm: High. Humor: High. Laziness: High (for Essays). Just do your study guides a bit every day all those other things like podcasts and dkmah and you'll pass...mostly
Intimidating, yes. The workload is plenty but he does try his best to help us pass the AP exams. Aside from the lack of confidence, he instills in you, he really does put effort in teaching.
A witty Chandler-like (from FRIENDS). Do your study guides and classwork to make up the difference from your low test scores. Not the most approachable but enough. Super organized and sarcastic.
he kept pretending to be mean, but he's been fooling us the whole time!
Study guides and Reviews for Tests/Quizzes was time consuming, but by giving us those, it was very helpful. You learn A LOT in that class, and remember almost everything the next year! Funny teacher, and knows how to teach!
I have to admit Marchand is a relatively good teacher. I do, however, despise the fact that he plays favorites -- some of the time. The rest of the time, he just yells at you and calls he stupid.
Too many dang study guides and his voice sounds wierd. His quizzes have questions that are not even in the notes....
He scares me (blunt~), but I think he's a pretty good teacher. XD; Lectures and quizzes/tests make sense. Students usually have to do skits on the spot.
Not the easiest teacher but one of the more challenging. His criticism can be harsh but @ times motivating. Wise and funny guy, u either love him or u don't. lucky for him, i do!
Chandler wanabe. It's a good class though, not my favorite, but okay...
Pefect score, not so much. Bad score, not so much. I don't care what terrible things my cat has been saying about you. You're alright.
hes funny and cool. he gives us alot of work and grades hard but hes still kool and yeah.
He's pretty funny, though some of his jokes can get pretty lame. But overall, he's a good teacher. He comes up with some pretty interesting activities.
I had Summer School After I Had Him... I did better in Locicero's..
Mr. Marshand is a capable teacher if he tries to teach that is. His biggest problem is he's too picky and his annoying accents really bug me.
thinks he's mr.funny guy. a good teacher but will clown on you so watch out.
ehhhh apparently i'm *does the finger quotation thing* moody . can u rate again?? oh well i did. u can be pretty decent when u're not talking.
blah... he's alrite... i guess... even though his mom corrects our homework.
