Be prepared to teach yourself in here. She's generally a nice person, but she teaches very quickly instead of thoroughly going through things. She doesn't really stick to the powerpoints that go with Mastering Physics and the tests (especially toward the end of the year), so I'd recommend just reading the textbook and taking notes from that. I liked being in the class, but when I had to do work I realized how little she'd taught. She's nice, but not too understanding/helpful if you don't get it.
She lectures directly from powerpoint and hardly does the example problems because she expects you to figure them out on your own time later. So what's the point of the lecture? She is usually nice while lecturing, but she can be very, very cold at times. Not very understanding at all.
Class is pretty easy. Loooooooooooots of bonus. If you do all the work, even if you don't study you'll have about a 95 in the class.
I had her for Pre-AP Physics. That class was a complete GPA boost. I always had above a 95 in her class. She is a great and funny teacher, if not a little intimidating and easily annoyed. The only thing is that she lectures very quickly and not very in-depth, and sometimes refuses to repeat information she lectured when you asks her something personally, meaning that you really have to pay attention. Otherwise, great class, great year, and great teacher.
She is really nice, and if you memorize the formulas and know how to do the math you should do well
She has a sort of bitter and cold personality at times, though I think this makes me like her more.
shes very nice and helpful when you ask her, she isnt clear sometimes the first time, but if you ask her she helps you alot and is very funny!
as long as you pay attention it's a total breeze. and if you don't understand somethign, just ask and she'll explain the whole thing to you. oh and she's pretty funny in a cheesy way =D
Amazing teacher she really tries to make sure you understand everything!
Her class was really hard if you dont take notes. Pay attention and her lectures are usually alot of fun and easy to understand. She was a really great teacher and helped me to understand physics alot more.
she is awesome...i learned so much...and got a good grade!
She really makes sure everyone knows the material and will help you..all u gotta do is ask!!! Physics is hard but she makes it fun!!!
She is a wonderful teacher who is helpful to her students and makes learning fun as well.
if u usually take reg. classes, u'll prob think it's hard. if u usually take adv. classes, this class is definitely easy. she's a great teacher for preap phys AND ap phys c.
best teacher i've had to date :) i always had over a 97 in her class
what a cool teacher, learned physics and played trashketball all year
The material is somewhat difficult, but she explains everything thoroughly and cares so much that we understand and do well. And she's fun and nice!
I found her to be an excellent teacher. The workload wasn't unreasonable, and she explains things really well. The projects are fun, and is easy if you do work.
its not that shes hard, its more the material, but she explains it really well, and we have lots of labs, and fun projects(hard tho). but i hate homework quizes.
i loved her class! she taught physics so that i could understand it, go her! the shaving cream on the desks rocked! the slinky lab was coooooooool!
She explains and demonstrates everything, which makes Physics really easy. She taught me that a little drawing is the answer to every problem!
Mrs Pinchbeck is pretty tight... and we play cards even when she tells us not to
