If you're legitimately interested in science and technology Chidley is an amazing teacher. If you put the effort in you will learn a ton from the class and get a great letter of recommendation, especially if you're on the Robotics team. He does have a tendency to go off on tangents about robotics and his own life, but most of them are funny. Overall just try and do better than the person next to you and you'll have a good time.
Easily the best teacher I had at Fitch, our schools would be much better off if there were as many teachers as creative and interested as him.
Very good teacher. Probably the best I had at Fitch, in terms of actually teaching me something and expecting effort.
He's a pretty good teacher, but he has high expectations for his students. You need to be on your toes to get a good grade and be ready to learn from the moment you sit down in his class.
I Freaking love this guy! He's a great teacher, is very involved with making sure each student gets concepts, and is very funny (especially if you're a nerd :D)
I took his classes twice, and not only can I say I learned a ton about physics, I also learned more about technology than in my Tech. Ed. Class. It is not an easy class, but it is very worth it.
Very underestimated by the school and colleagues for what he adds to Fitch.
As is the case with most people who think they are smarter than everybody else, Mr. Chidley is MEAN!...but sometimes he's hilarious
Awesome teacher but not a fan of how he randomly calls on people.
Unbelievably condescending! He takes every chance he can to point out that he exists on some kind of invisible pedestal above his students, who are always "thinking wrong" or "not thinking at all."
