I'm writing as a 56 year old man who had Mr. Rufner in. 1972? The teacher who impacted my life, who moved me from an under- performing kid with dyslexia to an enthusiastic learner. Good to see he's still around.
One of the best teachers on the face of the earth. His classroom was a museum of oddities and his teaching style was humorous, imaginative and engaging. I am proud to have known him. He was the perfect science teacher in that he brought a sense of wonder to the classroom that made you want to know more. He wasn't the easiest teacher and he didn't tolerate BS. If you took the time and put in the work, you were rewarded by a great learning experience. There should be more teachers like Mr. Rufner.
Worse teacher of all time. Traumatized students with the rat snakes by putting them on the kids heads while testing and without knowledge. He cause permanent psychological damage by doing so. He should have been reported to the BOE.
I'm so very glad my son had Mr. Rufner as a teacher before he retired! Mr. Rufner made learning "fun," and shows all the qualities of a teacher who LOVES to truly teach!!!
why not like hum? Mr Rufner is the most amazing science teacher out there.... mystery questions are a pain though... but worth it. What IS in the black box?
Nice. He can put some people down but is otherwise a well rounded person.
