05/25/07 - plays favorites and picks on kids randomly. he yelled at me when i wasn't doing anything, while he let other kids be rude and cut class. only english teacher to ever give me a bad grade on an essay, which he doesn't even read very carefully, and takes months to grade. 01/16/07 - insane grader. i suggest u do not take him if u want to do well. i have always done really well in english (honors), and then he starts grading insanely. bad politics, thinks he's a genius, but has not read stuff that all english teachers should have. Show More Show Less

09/16/06 - The reason i took him was because i saw him in the hall and thought he looked like Jesus. When he speaks, it gets my attention because he uses good words and his tone and the inflection of accents make it pretty. Show More Show Less

06/15/06 - Mr. Ritter really is very smart and a geek. He likes learning a lot. He knows how to convince people becuase the way he talk, even though what he's saying might not be true. I'm not saying he lies, but if he does, no one would know. For EL2(part journ), he makes us read the newspaper everyday and we talk about it the next day, a quiz on what we read during the week on Fri. To get an A, you have to ace almost everything, AND PARTICIPATE. If no participation = NO A. Show More Show Less

06/13/06 - Take him only if you love to participate. You can ace everything and the highest grade you can get is a 85% B if you never participate. HW daily. You do a lot of work but it's not really challenging. He has a monotome voice. Interesting pretty good class. Somewhat conceited. He made me hate English class at Lowell because it's nearly impossible to get an A and I got straight C's even though I tried harder than some of my lazy classmates. Not fair. Show More Show Less

04/04/06 - Mr. Ritter is subtly conceited. You may think he is quite "cool" at first, but you will probably soon discover that he makes some stuff up in his stories, and pretends to know everything about psychology! Psychology is a very intricate and complex subject and cannot just be explained with small book summarizing Freud. He gets on students' nerves sometimes with his know-it-all condescending attitude, but overall, his class is pretty fun, and heck of a lot more interesting than the rest of LowelL. 02/18/06 - He's the coolest English teacher at Lowell. It's hard to get an A but he's super interesting and tells great stories. He really challenges you to think and to participate. His voice is sooo soothing and you really learn a lot. His hair is nice too. Show More Show Less
