Ms Nicolandis was a horrible teacher. On average she got our tests graded about 4 weeks after we took them. She expects that we understand the material and doenst do a good job teaching. First semester I had a C and then I got a tutor to actually teach me and then i got an A
Hey freshmen! I am so serious when I say if you have her on your roster in the beginning of the year switch out. I had a tutor the entire year because I could not pay attention in her class after a while when I realized she made zero sense. I believe she has a good idea as to what she is say but she speaks in fragments and while explaining she kind of just finishes the problem hoping you will understand. Math is something that often does not spark anything, a good teacher is vital early, get out
She wasn't a great teacher, but not horrible. Some things she said make no sense but some things she's good at explaining. She does pick favorites, so get on her good side!
All I can say, my first impression was VERY wrong. Back then, I was actually excited to learn math and do well for her..... :( Hang in there if you get her.
She tries her best and talks in a very loud voice when she wants to get her point across, and she's nice, but half my friends who have her are failing. Oh yea, really, you're best off seing the book for help before school =(
Nicolandis is a nice person, but not the best teacher. She is kind of a ditz, loses her train of thought only 10 times a day, and tries to turn of the overhead using the room light switch. Her tests are hard. My advice: don't worry about paying attention in class - just learn from the book.
She completely ruined my math life. When asked a question, she has absolutely no idea what she is talkng about. she CANNOT teach. When going for help she wastes time and doesn't clarify. She get upset at the class when the class doesn't understand..she judges people and im pretty sure I can't get into the top colleges i wanted to get into now, because of my grade. Even with tutors, my grade wasn't stellar. The only people that received good grades were those that already knew how to do it/understand fast...
She is very nice and has good intentions, but has no idea how to teach, plain and simple.
she was funny but my god we didn't do anything in class. u basically have to go home and read the chapter and learn it yourself unless you are a math whiz
I MISS HER!! She was a nice, good teacher and great at explaining things. People who think otherwise maybe shouldn't be in Level 4.
Mrs. Nicolandis is underappreciated--in my opinion, shes a great lvl 4 ath teacher (although sometimes teaches too much stuff we already know) and knows her stuff very well. I've learned a lot so far this year and I'm gonna miss her when she leaves. Shes really cool--when we played Pictionary that was pretty fun!!
nice lady but terrible teacher. we never finised any of the notes sheets handed out in class so we had to learn all of the information on our own-but pay attention to what she writes on the board
shes awfully nice so you cant hate her for her bad teaching. but really, when it comes to algebra (only one year of teaching ;-)) read the book to help. really.
really funny and a great teacher, learned a lot this year
Fall asleep once a week in that class. She's nice but a truly awful math teacher and clearly plays favorites when grading.
idk how she has bad ratings on here, she is one of my favorite teachers. Absolutly hilarious and one of the only math teachers i can actually listen to
I think she cares about her students, and is very fair. If you are committed to learning, she can be an awesome teacher :)
She's probably the worst math teacher I've ever had. HONESTLY, i ask her one question and she doesn't get it at all. hate her
hilarious (goes off on long tangents) but she is a fair grader and an average teacher. no ridiculous assignments or extremely difficult tests.
If you want your child to learn and enjoy math change teachers now. She does not know her material, does not answer questions and can be abusive at times.
She is really nice and really helpful outside of class
I have her for Freshman Algebra 2, and she is a REALLY nice teacher and always explains things and tires to help us. Her worksheets are really helpful.
shes a nice person, but she can't add...which is kind of a math teacher thing. yeah, i don't really understand her methods at all.
ive got her for 3 level geometry this year, and shes a confused person. she just isnt a good teacher, and doesnt know what shes doing. nice enough person, though.
shes really nice. not always the best teacher. but is really helpful if u see her outside of class.
Really, really nice. Doesn't really know what she's doing, but really, really nice. And she's a great math team coach, because she lets us do whatever.
She'll help you, but she doesn't know the material well. Wastes time-"I'm confusing myself". Fun but you have to do a lot of the learning on your own. (Algebra 2/Trig)
nice teacher, a little confusing sometimes but didn't deserve our class.
she was my advisor. eh just ok, i didn tlike how she would just sit in on out convos
an overall nice person, but she talks a little too much about herself and is not very much help with school related issues.
u were mean, sneaky, stop listening in on our conversations..
You can tell that she really doesn't know the material.
She was a great teacher she knew exactly what she was doing, GRADE A TEACHER!!!
Nicolandis was my advisor. She wasn't mean or anything, but you could tell that she didn't really know what she was doing. Not a help with geometry hw either
Shes nice because she loves me but is sorta unclear, is an airhead most of the time and she just randomly puts stuff on tests she never taught
Miss Nicolandis was my advisor... she kinda doesn't know what she's doing and doesn't lead her advisory well.
Really mean... I had a C in her class and she sent me in to Algebra 1 again!
