He is a sweet, jolly dude. I thought he would be a cranky old man based on the rumors I heard about him. I'm taking the honors class right now and the tests are hard. I'm procrastinating studying for one of those tests by writing this actually. He offers loads of extra credit and he is enthusiastic. Somedays are just days when we go over notes and everyone falls asleep and doesn't listen. No one can thrive in this class, only survive. 10/10 would recommend.
PS, he offers wise advice
He may be a nice guy, but he's a complete and total quack. His whole curriculum is based on young-earth creationism and trying to convince the class that earth is only 6,000 years old.
He assigns several assignments but the due dates are all very random. He expects you to know what he is thinking. He also gives you extra credit for not asking him questions?!?
I took his Honors Earth Science class. It was easy, but make sure to study for tests. His multiple choice questions are hard, but he gives quite a bit of extra credit... Make sure to do the extra credit if you want an A without too much of a hassle.
Mr. Cargill was a great guy, but certainly not an effective teacher. Most of the material we learned came from a note packet that was hardly sufficient when it came time to study for the tests. These tests were pretty hard and included some information that was not even in the note packet. One test we took was even over self-taught material. However, his class is stall passable, and he's a genuinely nice guy.
Cargill is the best ever. He's the kind of teacher who wants to teach you about life, not just science. His class was hard, but if you study for the test and ask questions, you should be fine. Lots of quirks like honey and maple syrup making, homeschooling his 12 children, and his ringtone for his wife was her saying "I love you Chad" (which is adorable)
Mr. Cargill is definitely the best science teacher in Rockford. I find it a bit ridiculous that kids are complaining because he home schools his kids!! Goodness. A teacher is supposed to make you excited about the subject th
He was my favorite teacher at the freshman center! For me, the class was easy and I passed with over 100 percent on my exam. He really cares about his students but he can be a little strange. It's funny though. I love him!!
He is soooo HAARRRDD!! I suggest you switch out ASAP!! He is the hardest Science teacher in Fresman Center!
He's wacko. His class easy but his tests are HARDER then what. Pay attention & take good notes, U'll need'em. HE'S SO WERID!!! [If you get him, switch-out A.S.A.P]
The guys pretty easy, but has his moments. Ask about the chicken story. It is hallarious and takes up like an entire hour.
Mr. Cargill was a pretty hard teacher, but overall he did some pretty cool experiments and stuff and made his class pretty fun.
Mr. Cargill is the worst teacher I have ever had, and I dropped out of his class.
