I had him as a math teacher for 3 years; all I can say is that he is excellent at what he does, and that I really did have fun while learning a LOT the entire time. Not only does he teach complicated concepts (like those in Calc 2) in a way that's accessible to students who have never been good at math/hate the idea of it, but he gives encouragement, has a great sense of humor, offers help whenever, and is just a great guy in general. It's a shame he doesn't teach in universities.

Prof. Giesy has been teaching math from the most basic levels (Algebra 1) to college vector calculus for years. He is known in our school as the best math teacher for anything and as a person to go to for anything (be it serious and personal or whatever). He aids students in their advancing through math including the ones who struggle with algebra or those who taught themselves calculus. It is truly rare to find a math teacher who is both capable of enjoying math at all levels and sharing it.

This teacher is great with kids. He made a difference in my children's education. He was willing to work with them on his time after school. He is truly devoted, and I am eternally grateful.
