I took organic chemistry and biochemistry in high school in 2002/2003 at Arkansas school for math and science (now asmsA). Dr Hunter doesn't know this but she is the reason that I went to international science fair. She has a wonderful heart and is full of empathy. She is the reason I went to college and dental school. She demands self reject, hard work and commitment. Her teaching style is a bit orthodox, however it promotes work ethic, and organization.
Dr.Hunter was my teacher 13 years ago. I look back at my experience with her with the utmost fondness. She is outstanding. Always encouraged me to work hard and never accepted anything less.
Dr. Carolyn Hunter is one of the most distinguished, and qualified instructors of the prestigious Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences, and the Arts. She continues to put in a tremendous amount of effort into the art of being and educator. She by know means is an "easy" teacher, she demands excellence, organization and respectfulness in all of her students. She teaches on a high level which it eqivalent to the standards of the institution known as ASMS now ASMSA. She's EXCELLENT in her profession.
Dr. Hunter is a wonderful teacher. After finishing the course, I had a much greater understanding of chemistry. Do the homework, it reallly helps on the tests. Her style of teaching is a little different, but if you pay attention, you'll be fine. My only negative is that she tends to change requirements for things like lab reports. Pay attention to the heading she wants and go to purple day. It's a lot of fun.
She's a wonderful lady and makes the classroom a very friendly enviroment. Her style of teaching is hard to get used to though.
Dr. Hunter has a good heart and she cares about her students. Unfortunately, she is a poor science teacher. Her doctorate is in education.
Dr. Hunter will confuse you and your grade with her ever-changing criterea for good lab reports, and she will insult you, but she has a good heart.
