Dude you must be getting a bad grade. If sra speaks English, it is probabely because you don't understand Spanish and she is trying to help you. You sound like the angry one who is not getting what you want. Grow up and ask for help. She has helped some of my friends during her opens. Oh and the 30% is a department thing.

She did not like when students spoke in English, but they shouldn't be anyway because you're there to learn Spanish. She lets you speak in English at the beginning though, to answer questions and stuff. She has cool stories because she travelled all over the world, and likes to share experiences, and she really cares about the students understanding different spanish speaking countries. She does grade participation somewhat strictly, but if you answer a question about once a day you should be ok

I totally disagree with that review. If Sra chops your head off when you speak English, its because your in a class to learn Spanish, DUH!! She doesn't play favorites, she calls on students who make an effort to participate. She even allows you to check her participation chart everyday so you can do something about your grade instead of whinning about it.

She is a very biased teacher because she chose about 5 or 6 students who were her favorites and would never call on anyone else for answers. This would not be a problem but she has a very strict "participation grade" that requires speaking en espanol constantly. If she hears you utter one word of english she will chop your head off. Pray to god you never get her as a teacher.
