Arrogant. Believes he was born on the track. Doesn't care about the job. It's a paycheck. Not engaged at all. Picks favorites.
I thought Ramlow was a great teacher. His class isn't easy but he clearly tries hard. Really fun and insightful too.
Sad excuse for a human being, let alone a teacher. It was a great waste of time being in his class. He is also super arrogant and condescending (thinks Miami of Ohio is Harvard). Never met anyone who likes/respects the guy. Never had an actual planned/thought out lesson; he's the equivalent of a substitute teacher (that you have all year).
Pretty apathetic teacher; clearly not passionate about teaching. Often doesn't understand complex ideas, so he disregards them (and deems them as incorrect, but in reality he just won't dare educate himself). He's a very pompous man who relies heavily on "filler" activities because having productive lessons is a seemingly foreign concept. The $90,000+ that is his salary could be better spent.
He made me cry and so did his assignments and so did his grading
Chadlow ruined English for me last year. If anyone asked a question, his answer was that we should already know and if we didn't we weren't worldly enough. Arrogant and picks favorites. Biased on everything. Terrible experience.
He still hasn't put in the grade for the Into the Wild map asignment...
For Honors, his use of the word "worldliness" will get on your nerves within the first week, and even though he's a tough teacher and an arrogant guy, he will push you to be a better writer.
Hard, really hard, but a great teacher
Mr. Ramlow prepares his students for college level work. Although you may not enjoy the workload or rigor today, when you go to college you will be very well prepared.and glad you had a knowledgeable and dedicated teacher.
Mr. Ramlow was a descent English teacher, but was too easy. He treated his Seniors (Not AP Class) like preschoolers and was oblivious to students cheating on his incredibly easy tests. His daily language was actually helpful for the SAT and ACT, but apart from that, I don't feel that he adequately prepared me for college English. (Which may be evident in this review).
I had a great time in his class! He balances discussion with actual learning, and is very straightforward about how to get good grades on his tests. Lots of quote ID and roots quizzes (easy points). Compared to 9 Honors En
Ramlow is a pretty cool guy but he definitely has things about him that are somewhat annoying to students. For one thing, he is very certain that his way is always right... a good example is that he told my class that all goo
When I got Chad as a teacher everyone told me to drop the class. THEY WERE WRONG. He was one of my favorite teachers this year, he's funny and teaches really well. It's a very hard class, but he teaches better than Bergman
He is a poor teacher who grades unfairly and picks his favorites on the first day. If you aren't one, good luck. I don't feel I learned much at all in English this year.
Terrible teacher. When pressed with a question he doesn't know the answer to, he simply says that it just is the answer and we best not argue with him. Also, he makes feel bad when you ask a meaningful question.
I thought he was bad when he mades us grade our own quizzes in class - but he crossed the line when he told us to learn 60 vocab words the day before a test. He also thinks we all like him, which is hilarious.
He is also the field event coach for track.i basically caoched myself this season...he is about as helpful in the classroom as he is in season. He will probably belittle you and make you feel bad when you ask for help.
He's a good teacher, we had some good discussions in that class.
From what I can tell, is a good hockey coach. But the guy can't teach. Stick with hockey cuz you don't have a chance at teaching.
Hockeyman definitely shows that he cares more about hockey than English.
A really bad teacher! His lesson plans include lectures. He needs to figure out that there are other ways learn - more effective ways. If you have a different opinion than him, and even back it up with textual evidence, he wont even consider it.
