I had Mr. Bushee for both Honors and AP Chemistry. He is incredibly intelligent and knows his subject inside and out. Do all your homework as well as the unassigned problems in the book, ask questions (he can be intimidating in class, but he once told me, "if you have a question, chances are that other students in the class also are wondering the same thing"), be respectful, and take notes. He really is a nice guy and an excellent teacher, just don't get on his bad side.
I'm taking Honors Chem with him and I thought he was the meanest teacher ever but he is a actually pretty helpful! If you're intimidated by him then just ask him things personally or at lunch or after school. He WILL yell at you sometime if you ask something that he doesn't like. If you don't like the worksheets he hands out then don't do it. I recommend doing all the problems in the book though, ask him if you need help.
Very good teacher.. He can be hard sometimes if you don't study, but he jokes and explains the subject really well.. You may think he is hard, but that's good, because when the AP Chem test comes., you are not screwed like others.
DEFINETELY TAKE HIM IN AP CHEM!!
He's really not that bad. I don't understand why everyone hates him so much. He's pretty strict but honestly it just seems like he treats the class from a very sciencey perspective.
*AVOID AT ALL COSTS*
HE HATES STUDENTS, WHY DID HE BECOME A TEACHER.
He does not know how to teach his chemistry class.
There are rarely A's. Mostly C's (if you try hard).
He picks on certain students, giving them referrals for absolutely no reason!
He is more of a dictator rather than a teacher.
Only class I ever got a C in.
**HE'S BIPOLAR. Though he is in the worst mood 99.9% of the time, there is a time of the month where he is nice and can joke around with his students.
He picks on kids for the most absurd things. He pulls kids out of class every two seconds to discuss with them a serious issue that was "too inappropriate to handle in class" then he wastes another half hour talking about how behind our class is because he keeps taking kids out for ten minutes separately to ask them why they didn't do their homework when I don't understand why he could have done it in class.
Umm. Even though I worked really hard, still got B.
He is really good teacher but hardddddd
Bushee is an excellent teacher (he gives very clear and understandable instruction). Some of his grading policies and practices are somewhat wacky (borderline absurd) but if you play his game, do what advises, and stay on his good side you will be fine. He struggled to present all the material prior to the AP Exam but he pulled through and came in for weekend lectures. Very dedicated, funny, and knowledgeable. TAKE AP CHEM FROM HIM!
He is a bad teacher who does not care about his students. Do not take this teacher. You wont learn much and struggle throughout the year. He does not teach well and does not review the chapters very well.
His class is fairly moderate, basically doing your work correctly you'll do well as long as you understand, he explains things until you understand it and always asks if everyone understands. He is so
Wow, Mr Bushee is still teaching? I learn a lot from him while he was still teaching in Chicago. My AP teacher left the school and our class end up without a teacher for the whole year, Mr Bushee was
Not a bs class. work for your grade and you will get it.
His AP Chem class is a joke. His class is super easy, but he doesnt teach any well. That being said, he is the funniest teacher ever!!! He has like OCD i think, but hes so nerdy and funny!!!
He's actually a really funny guy if u know him well enough. His AP Chem class was challenging but if u do ur work u can at least get a B!
Great guy, great teacher. Wish peoplelike Mr. Bushee could teach all my classes.
DONT TAKE HIM DURING THE YEAR, OR YOU'LL FAIL. HIS SUMMER SCHOOL IS EASY
He's a good teacher and knows a lot about chemistry, but isn't a very socialized person and will make someone feel stupid when asking a question. You will learn a lot of chem and be forced to step up.
he's occasionally funny and even nice. He's just a TEACHER you guys. and thats what teachers do. teach. they don't need to be kind to you. that's not what they get paid for. but it IS a hard class.
Hey stop with this nonsense! Christopher Bushee changed my life for the better! Before him I knew absolutley nothing about chemistry or life! His kindness and compassion are only matched by his
Do NOT take any class with him. He gives lots and lots of HW. DONT RISK IT. The only class i reccomend taking with him is the summer school but still u will get lots of HW.
he's really easy for regular chem. but if your in ap, watch out. totally different story. my rating is for reg. chem.
He is seriously one of the nicest teachers at Beverly if you get on his good side. Show him that your a hard worker and he will love you. The material is not easy but he explains it really well.
mr bushee is one of the rudest, most cruel teachers i have ever had! he derives fun from making fun of his students! its also nearly impossible to get an 'A' in his class. dont take him, take Mr Lee!
He really isnt that bad. He is a pretty good teacher but can be very boring at times. Homework logs are good becuase you barely ever have homework and can just do whatever whenever
he assigns too much work at a time, expects too much from high school kids. help us out! i wish he wassnt so tough on AP chem
HOW DID AP PEOPLE DO? did he prepare good for AP chem?
He is a really hard teacher, even if you do all the homeowrk and extra credit and you think you do well on the tests, you won't. Save yourself, don't take him.
He does not teach. He expects us to learn everything on our own but asks that on test. His homwork policy is so strange and none of us understand it. We do not learn in his class.
He's funny but he kinda has ocd..hes obsessed with 36 minutes of hw...he wont care if u do it or not, but ur screwed on the tests no matter what..do ur work
pretentious teacher...awful class...but have to admit i did learn sooooo much
has good intentions, but has a very strange way of showing it. gives a great deal of work
"Put your backpacks under your desks! I get gyrations in my leg sometimes and I might trip on one as I pass." Very heavy workload but amusingly odd and funny.
u will learn a lot of SAT words at the end of year...
He is very reasonable and understanding. I learned alot from him. Just do the work and you will be fine.
really difficult to understand i am learning on my own
You NEED to get on his good side. DOn't talk to much and do well and he is a great guy and teacher
Makes an effort to help but he is really hard. If you dont have him as a teacher hes a nice person to know.
Tests are pretty hard, especially finals. He's insecure so he gets offended easily. If you had the choice btwn Bushee and Legget take Bushee
Don't take AP Chem. Its not worth it b/c of how hard it is.
hehe! bushee rox! really tough class though :D. gl if ur taking him... u'll need it!
His class is soooooooooo easy. listen in class and you will understand everything!
stay away from chem, take him during the summer if you can
