Turned reading from a chore to a passion for me. Always respsected his students - with seriousness, levity and joy and - probably for that reason - his students were happy. I looked forward to his class.
he refuses to let us have the slightest bit of fun. the only teacher that i'm actually scared of this year. a lot of the assignments are busy work...saying that, he's a very nice guy outside the classroom, talking to him in his office helps
taught my dad...but still a cool person outside class
ugh, he is so boring, his class is like 10 hours long, i want to fall asleep in his class...english should be interesting, but with him it's not.
mr d is the man hesmad kool 2 talk 2 outsidde of class
Learned so much in his classroom. Quirky guy and best English teacher I have ever had.
favors naturally smart people, wrote me off as a dumb blonde the first time i went to him for extra help- so gradelocked it hurts
I don't think I was able to write anything until I came out of his class. He likes to chat randomly outside of class--very friendly
He's such a cool guy... but he doesn't fall for any BS whatsoever and he'll be like, "I really like this essay" and give me a B.
Throughout the year, you will dislike Mr. Douglass. but by June, you will be thanking him because he is the best english teacher and your writing really improve
He has his flaws, and you'll moan and groan all year long, but by June you'll realize that he, quite simply, taught you how to write.
Douglass, although difficult, was probably one of the best teachers I've ever had. His mannerisms also make the class somewhat entertaining.
Very nice and extremely dedicated to helping kids out of class....he gives lots of work, but grades fairly and is always willing to give extra help on papers...even when he wasn't my teacher, he gave me help with my college essay
Intense focus on writing and tons of work, but good teacher.
