He is arrogant and unfair. It is not pleasant to have to deal with him.
Threston is a great teacher. He makes both years of AP history hard so you are used to passing the AP exam. While you may get a B in an AP course, he'll guarantee you get a 4 for the AP exam
His history classes are impossible. By that, I mean the tests. His lectures usually don't really help much, so Coursenotes must be used. Besides that, he is still a really good guy who always tries to help. Plus, he knows what's really going on with this school.
Nice guy but his class bores me, I don't learn anything, and everything he teaches, is never on the test, which, by the way, are impossible.
Nice guy, boring class. You don't learn anything from him- just read the book and apnotes and you'll do okay on the impossible multiple choice tests. Really easy grader on the writing, though. Nice track coach too =)
Unfortunately, I have to agree with everyone else. His class is definitely about strictly reading the book. If he taught by the book, and actually tested on what he lectured about, he'd be an AMAZING teacher. He is very charismatic and knows what he's talking about!
one of my favorite teachers. many think he's boring but his class lectures teach me sooo much. after two years u get used to the bad jokes and realise sometimes he can be funny. teaches the class because he loves history and his class is hard so we can do well on the AP test
He's a nice guy, but honestly his class is a waste of time. You'd be better off to skip every class, and just read the book. That way you'd get more important work done, and have more time to make your own outlines. Read the book, throw out his outlines, you'll do fantastic.
I like him as a person, but you have to admit he's not the best teacher ever. Contradicts the book, then uses the book's answer. Ignore him and read the book.
honestly a great man... we could all learn a little something from him. Im honored to know him (and run for him)
Great coach, super baseball fan, and great History teacher!
