Feb 07, 2013 Rest in peace Mr. Ryan, the next time we meet, I'll show you how you've taught me about the world, and how I've helped to change it. Flag Rating

Nov 04, 2011 Worst teach I have ever had. His tests and quizzes are hard but as long as you get an A on the final you get an A in the class. He has very flamboyant attitude at times. Flag Rating

Aug 28, 2011 I had Mr. Ryan for AP World and he was very understanding and caring about most of his students. As long as you do your work (Notes, Notecards, Study) you'll do fine on the AP Exam. However, his quizzes tend to be a bit difficult and he doesn't teach a lot of material in class during First Semester. Some of his powerpoints are useful, others are rather detailed and irrelevant. As long as you do your work and don't anger him or turn him red, you'll get an A. (Free A, take it!) Flag Rating

Jan 04, 2011 mr. ryan is one of the best english teachers i've had because his lectures about subjects beyond english made writing in his class easier. if you take notes, he gives you essay themes and ideas in his lectures. he taught a general view of the history of the world and his essays and lectures PREPARE YOU FOR COLLEGE. I have reused his teachings over and over in college papers. take his class seriously and you will work less in college. Flag Rating

Sep 05, 2010 I have Mr. Ryan for AP World and all he does is lecture about how Sophomores are Knowitalls and how we HAVE to follow his Note-taking styles. Mr.Coats who is x10 better than Mr. Ryan lets his students do whatever they want and they get to use notes on their quizzes. Seriously, Mr. Ryan doesn't even teach, he hasn't talked about the material since the first day of school. He also has amnesia and repeats EVERYTHING he says and forgets EVERYTHING he does. I'm going to get a 0 on the AP Exam, good grief. Flag Rating

Sep 23, 2009 Honestly, I have no regrets about this rating. My class loved him, but then again I was in regular english. Rare homework, but when you do get it make sure you do it well. Flag Rating

Jun 09, 2009 He's alright. He doesn't spend much time really delving into specific AP material, but he does know which poems to choose. My biggest pet peeve was how he always just made us analyze something and then just tells us what it's about when we have no clue (Romanticism, anyone?). He doesn't explain how to analyze it, he just does it. When he doesn't have a lesson plan, he just talks on and on about how as high schoolers we know nothing of life. And he plays favorites.
