Many students may not like Mrs. Band just for the simple reason she's strict, but she's a GREAT PERSON :D she is strict because she wants her students to succeed and actually learn something from her class, her class might be challenging but there's no way you could get out of her class without learning anything. She does expects a lot but its not for her own benefit its for the student's. whoooo!! c/o 2011
Had her for AP English in 2008. Having now taken real college level English, I can say that she had no idea what she was doing. She focused more on teaching us about culture and society instead of helping us master language s
Mrs.Banda is a strict tracher but she is a nice person if you are on her good side. Her class is easy if you study and pay attention.
SIGH* Ms. Banda is not the greatest teacher. You're better off studying during her AP Psych lectures becuase she only uses power points and she didn't even make them. Sometimes, she vaguely knows whats on it. avoid her class!
Ms. Banda rocks! She looks out for her students and wants them to succeed. She made the college application process easier. I love the atmosphere of her classroom ( the music, incense, etc.) She care about her students.
I had AP English with her in 2005. She was not a good teacher. She likes to assign busy work, such as reading definitions during class time. Her long forms were tedious. Some of her redeeming points were her grammar assiv
Not that popular, but she does guide students through work. She offers help at 6 period and after school which shows she is a willfully helpful person. Her effectiviness is the remaining factor
I think she is a very good teacher. She doesnt give too many assignments and the ones she does give make sense and arent busy work. Overall i looove her class
I took her 9 years ago and she was NOT a good teacher. She had us sign contracts and then revised them unilaterally when it didn't go her way. Overall, she is horrible at what she does and not a very good teacher at all.
not a hard teacher, however she doesn't teach much in class. every assignment is a breeze. don't let procrastinators worry you; start the homework early, get the grade. banda does pick on people in class if she feels like it.
Thank goodness, Ms. Banda is no longer teaching AP English. Most of her students were not prepared well enough for the AP exams and did not pass. She blamed the students, but the fault was hers. Argumentative person.
Well I thought she was a good teacher tot alk to, she's not completely work focused and all about school. She does lack a little bit of teaching maybe because she's a bit too laid backed
She's a great teacher when on subject, and does prepare you for college. Personality-wise, she's not very tactful and does like to push feminist beliefs and her proud heritage on to others. VERY opinionated.
Banda's a really good teacher. The students who don't like her are the ones who don't understand that an AP course entails work. She rewards for real effort.
She did a good job balancing English with other cultural knowledge. Could do a better job with feedback on writing assignments.
I dont think she liked my aura... yeah THATS a good reason not to like a student...whatever
Some hard stuff but she's caring. Cool field trips too.
not that great of a teacher but a cool person...and wat's with that nun story?
nice but difficult. field trips are fun. she is caring in a way. dont take her class unless you plan on doing a lot of work. moody.
