Elliott was the best teacher by far on the irvine high school campus. He cared about his students and made everything fair to each class. Though he is strict he prepares you well for college. Great sense of humor. Irvine's going to miss you!
Mr. Elliott is a totally kickass teacher as long as you stay on his good side (which isn't very hard). He genuinely cares about his students, one week in his class will tell you that. Usually, he just has us copy the powerpoint notes but won't hesitate to explain something unclear. He's also pretty funny and his stories are epic. His detentions don't go on your permanent record and you can choose the time and study or do homework during it. Happy retirement Mr. Elliott
Easily best teacher at Irvine High. Only teacher today that doesn't teach for the sake of teaching.
Many people might think his teaching ways are questionable, but all the things he does are to help you learn. He's amazing.
He is pretty cool but can be very strict at times. Don't turn in your lab without a name because u will get a 0 if u do it again. Also, don't staple ur labs on the right side or in wrong order. He will definitely give u detention for it. He can teach very well tho.
I LOVE MR. Elliot. Please don't listen to any of the bad reviews, more than likely they were terrible students. Mr. Elliot was super funny and sarcastic, such a fun teacher. He is extremely strict, don't be late to his class but as long as you followed his rules he was the best. He even gave us quizzes after each test as an extra credit and was based off of Harry Potter or a celebrities middle name, something we all had a good shot at for some extra points. :)
Mr elliot is amazing. He is really nice, don't listen to the people that day otherwise.
Mr. Elliott is a good teacher. Some students think that he is very strict but that is what encourages students to work their hardest. He doesn't always teach you the material that's on the test in class which is one of the reasons some of the tests are difficult. As long as you study and you put your full effort, you should do fine in his class. The people who believe he is rude and disrespectful to students is not completely true. Sure, he isn't the nicest person but he is still a great teache
Very very strict, but a great teacher. He wants things done a specific way but he is always very clear about this. Just do exactly what he says and you will be fine. He yells, but only because that's what it takes for people to take him seriously. He wants you to do well, but he's not going to spoon-feed you. For those who bother to get to know him, he is actually a very sweet and caring man, you can definitely go to him if you're ever struggling with anything.
Not including his crappy personally, he is a bad teacher...i always thought he is a verygood teacher, but tbh the only thing i have learned in his class in the last month, is what the consequences are if you do something wrong, he does NOT teach anything.. He puts up a powerpoint presentation gives some kid the remote and walks out of the class room..and he expects you to learn something of that...in class he just talks about irrelevant stuff...
Mr. Elliott is an amazing teacher! I took his summer course in Biology and I was so pleased, for I had learned so many new and exciting facts, and was honestly pumped for the rest of high school (even though chem sucks :() He does yell, but once you get to know him, you will understand it's just to make sure everyone pays attention. Don't be afraid to ask questions, as he will go out of his way to help you!! He definitely knows his stuff and is overall one of my favorite teachers.
Mr. Elliott is one of the most helpful teachers I've ever have. He really cares and wants you to do well. Even though he comes of as harsh and mean, he is a really good teacher, and makes sure you understand everything if you come in during like lunch. He teaches in such a way that he makes you find the material and answers instead of giving them to you directly. Even though I'm struggling in his class in terms of my grade, its my favorite class because he makes science really fun.
he was trying to add students' numbers and there were muliple pictures in curvy pictures in the page he was last on when he opened his phone
literally BEST TEACHER EVER. NOT ONLY does he teach Bio perfectly but he also is a geniune person with a great sense of humor. people who don't like him are just not following directions (he hates it when you don't) or just don't have a sense of humor.
Mr. Elliott is one of those teachers that will teach you the right way. (Okay some of you guys are probably like shaking your head and thinking I'm the craziest person ever; however, this teacher teaches in a way where biology will never ever leave your brain). He will not let any of his students leave the room clueless about any topic of biology. Everything is thorough and straight to the point. I'm so thankful to have him as a teacher and turning bio into my favorite subject!
Mr. Elliott... well, he is definitely a character to be aware of in IHS. His teaching style is unorthodox but surprisingly gets the job done. Be warned, freshmen, he's not going to teach you biology, but he will teach you how to learn biology by yourself- or with his help. I find that his class is stressful, but it really does prepare you for the future, which is a very good plus.
A very, very funny teacher balanced with just enough strictness to convince his students to do what is needed to receive an A. Probably one of the best teachers at Irvine High, and he is also very caring towards students. He does play favorites, but he is always fair in grading and honest to everyone. It has been a pleasure in being in his class, even though his tests are demonic. You'll be fine if you do what he says, don't be late, and try your hardest in his class. Wonderful teacher!
Mr. Elliot is a great teacher who seems to be disliked for being strict. Some people dislike teachers that give a damn, that's the age we live in, but he tries his hardest to get information and a work ethic into our heads, going so far as to provide a schedule which, if followed will get you an A. In most cases, in others, he'll even talk to you. As has been previously stated, he only gives detentions that don't appear on the permanent record! During these, you can talk and study for his class.
Mr. E is the coolest teacher ever. Although sometimes a little strict (a little?) he is funny and provides accurate and precise in his teachings. He expects you to study and try your hardest (which is why i got a B+ and not an A D:) and is always available for help. He tries his hardest to teach his students and prepare us for college. I <3 u Mr. E!
He has been teaching for many years and is tired of slackers. He is only gets mad because he cares. the detentions he gives out are lunch detentons and don't go on your perminate record, he is normally funny and trys to make us laugh. i know some kids who hate him, and refuse to go to his detentons, in doing so they turn the detenton into a real one. if you listen to him and actually try he's great. in the first semestor he knew i was really trying, so when i should have gotten detention i didnt
I had Mr. Elliott when he first came to IHS. He is a very strict person and demands respect of he students. Once you get to understand him and his methods you realise how fun his class really is.
I need to come by and see him.
Thanks Mr. E for being such a great, honest, fair teacher and making me a better person.
Took his class for a couple of weeks. He has very high expectations cusses at students and gives out alot of detentions and he's very strict. If you parents were in the military then you would be able to survive this class
I had this guy last year but he's really not my type of teacher. Once he kicked my desk it almost fell sideways, because I was almost dozing after an all-nighter of studying. Sleeping in his class is like asking for death. Prepare for a lot of shouting and desk pounding. If he smiles that means something really, really bad is going to happen.
not that hard, but very strict... super awesome teacher though
There is no easy Biology class. The second semester is insanely harder than the first. Do arrive early to class. He has very strict rules. Study! You do not want to have to retake this class.
He rules by fear...so it's not really a fun class. He acts all tough but really he's a little girl. His teaching method is horrible i didn't remember anything. His tests are just ridiculous
Hi class is hard, its good for those who don't do anything unless their forced to. He is also funny and will always help you after yelling at you.
Dont take his yelling seriously, he doesnt really mean it, he is just trying to make an impression
At first I thought he was the most demanding teacher I have ever met but turns out he is one of the coolest, caring teachers out there. I LOVE MR. ELLIOTT!!!
Difficult, but good. I learned a lot. And his class really made me hone my study skills. My tips to survive his... unorthodox teaching style: Listen, study, and relax.
One of the most funny teacher EVER!! but also very very VERY STRICT!
hands down the best teacher at irvine high... amazing commitment to his students well being... YOU ROCK!
AWESOME!!! i had him last year, he's super cool. just listen to what he tells you and he'll be really nice.
if theres one teacher who actually TEACHES, its elliot, but if your a slacker, dont pretend that he wont break the table your sleeping on with his face.
funny guy but bad teacher. Too tough on students. Too strict about his rules. Other science teachers have the exact same curriculum and seem to do a better job relating to students.
This class without Mr. Elliot would be impossible. He is a phenomenal teacher with a fantastic sense of humor. He pretends to be this big, tough guy that simply doesn't care about what else is going on in your life, however, he is one of the most compassionate teachers I've ever had, once I got to know him. He truly cares about the well being of his students and wants them to succeed, but he won't tolerate anyone's BS, no matter how much he likes you. He really helps his students mature and act their age
very very tough, biology's a tough cookie and so is mr. elliot. however, i greatly look up to his teaching methods, as i actually learn in his class and his humor is just hilarious! he also plays very fair. i was once caught cheating a few years back in his class and he gave me no slack. regardless of how i felt back then, i can see that he was being fair. mr. elliot's somewhat of a role model to me. very good teacher. i recommend him, by far. don't BS this man. look up to him, he's a good example.
i had him for summer school. Fantastic teacher and amazing sense of humor. The class is hard, but he really helps you get through it.
Inside the classroom--he's harsh and stuff. Outside the classroom, he's actually a pretty nice guy. After all, we seniors managed to throw him into the pool at senior pool party, and he laughed about it.
Incredibly tough, but fair and when my friend and I were not passing his class, he worked with us on our final. Don't be a cheat or disrespectful and don't be afraid to approach him. He knows his stuff and will make sure you do too.
If you are disciplined enough to correctly follow his instructions, you will find him as a great teacher because he knows what he is doing. If your not.... good luck?
He's definitely an incredible teacher. He may seem a little offensive, rude, and mean at first, but if you get to know him, he isn't that bad. Make sure you're not late to class... and study hard for the tests! He doesn't really care to explain too much about notes, so you're pretty much on your own. Otherwise, he's a good teacher who actually understands and knows what he's talking about.
It's hard not to be afraid of him, and a lot of times I would second-guess myself (which sometimes angers him). Intense experience, maybe? Very scary, even when he starts treating you as a friend. I'm more at ease with him with other students around, because then he won't be paying attention to me too much. I don't know what it is about him that scares students, though. Very great teacher otherwise, but his teaching style may be hard to catch up on! Just remember to ALWAYS FOLLOW THE RULES. You'll be fine!
it's fun as long as he doesn't pick on you. He knows the material, but it's either his way or just get out of his class.
An Amazing Teacher. He is someone who you want to judge pretty quickly. But dont judge him quick. The only time to judge him is after the year is finished. Because you gret to see your results, which he help you achieve pretty easily.
He's a bit quick to judge, and doesn't accept any BS. he definitely knows the material, teaching methods aren't the greatest... lots of work hard tests...
I never had him personally but talked to him a lot and have even been offered an aiding position (when he usually requires you to be his student). He is really nice if you are nice as well, and he is nothing to be afriad of, just rivaled.
Brutally honest, funny, terrifying, awesome, and did I mention terrifying? haha. What more could you ask for? Elliott's awesome.
But hard. If you're not very good at following directions... you have been warned.
I dont think that Mr. Elliott's teaching methods are very good...he is on a serious power trip and somebody needs to set him straight...worst teacher ive ever had.
He needs to update some material, and it makes you nervous to even stand outside his door. But he is really charismatic and keeps you focused.
can be scary but a very good teacher! and very funny!
Craig Elliott is the greatest teacher I've ever had the pleasure of learning with.He cares so much, can be scary at times, but is the most kind hearted man on the face of the earth.
mr. eliott is the best bio"facilitator". He is the coolest person. If you need help he'll help you. if you need advise he'll give you the best.
Mr Elliot is horrible. It you want to have a good time in class but with a enormus amount of homework then this is your class. I have been a straight a student but still failed.
Mr. Elliott is the best teacher I have ever had! If you think he is harsh and you need help, go to him. If he see's that you are serious about doing better he WILL help you!
Mr. Elliott is Mr. Cool on campus. He's an excellent educator and an even better person. Get to know him outside of class. He's truly a great great guy.
he's the coolest teacher ever, though he tries to scare everyone at first. Just don't get on his bad side [quite rare, actually]. He's got the funniest stories.
not only is he an amazing teacher, but he is an awesome man...he is so cool. Who cant love him?
Mr. Elliot is a great (Quote "Facilitator of Education" -Mr. Elliot), though he is easily annoyed or even angered; he still manages to make sure that we learn
I had the second highest grade in the whole darn class and he hated me. I had to transfer to Mrs. Elliot's class to escape his wrath...
Best teacher i've had thus far...he gets to the point, has a sense of humor, and prepares you for life
Great sense of humor and i have much respect for this man
One of those guys you know has had a lot of time to think about a lot of stuff...good teacher though =P
this class is the only one of my classes that is actually fun, but thats partly b cuz of th people in the class
Mr. E's class is hard and requires a lot of work but he is willing to take out of his time to help students. He is funny and will always say what is on his mind
stop yelling at us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, give more time to copy the notes off the projecter!!!!
scared to go in his class :( gives too much pointless work
i learned A LOT from his class but he's hard and strict!
Cool teacher who isn't afraid to say what's on his mind... Uber hard and strict, but the students deserve it.
ya the unit 8 bio test is comming... we are all dead!!11 GLGL
He's way too strict. Detentions for any and every offence.
Very hard and strict, but teaches the course very well
enjoy talking back to and arguing with this teacher over test points
