03/20/14 - AP Lit sucks. I used to get As on my essays and now I barely pass. He does not even write comments and you have to go wait in line during breaks to have him give you feedback. The only skill he has is using good vocabulary. It's all a facade. Show More Show Less

03/13/14 - Other 9th classes get to do fun projects and we are stuck reading and answering study questions. And we are almost done with vocabulary when the other classes are only half way through. Boring class and boring teacher who does not care about students Show More Show Less

03/13/14 - How it is possible to have earned As in every English class at WHS and be nearly failing in AP? He is aloof, condescending, and thrives on ruining students' chances of attending amazing colleges. Do not take AP until the teacher is replaced. Show More Show Less

08/26/13 - What can I say? Well done, Ordonez, well done. Hands-down the best high school course I've ever taken. I joined the class and was initially extremely intimidated by his intellect, not even the course, just Ordonez himself. Thus, I was determined to drop the class and transfer into a mediocre English IV course where I was guaranteed an easy A. Little did I suspect that he would actually put the effort into convincing me to stay in his class. Lesson learned: he really does care. AP LIT 2013. Show More Show Less

08/03/13 - AP Literature with Mr. Ordonez was an eye opening experience. This class changed my previously apathetic stance towards English into an attitude that is appreciative of the communicative arts. In previous classes, I would often acquiesce reading; but with Ordonez, he inspired me to look forward to every book we read. With Mr. Ordonez as the facilitator, he will smash open one's myopic world view and in the process, reveal new ways of processing information. Not to mention he is highly engagin Show More Show Less

08/03/13 - I strongly feel that Mr.Ordonez's class was the most fulfilling class in my entire public school career. I agree with the previous comment; this man radiates intelligence. I will never forget him or his incredible teaching. He makes you THINK beyond the scope of Sparksnotes. His class is challenging, but mind broadening. My words don't even begin to do it justice. I highly, highly recommend him. (AP Literature, 2013) Show More Show Less
