I have been in DL's musical programs (symphonic band and wind ensemble) for 4 years. Hes a funny teacher, likes to converse, and cares deeply for all of his students. He helps students financially for expensive band trips by writing grants. He stays at school all day to be available to students though he only teaches for two periods. I believe he is very passionate about music and education, and can become angry because it is difficult to handle 90 or so students all holding noisemakers.
Mr. Jonson is a complicated man. He is very kind and loves music. Extremely knowledgeable in music as well. But he also has some issues, but with him being on medication for depression, and being from a age that many students just cannot understand (I admit, it makes him a little weird) Some people detest him for shallow reasons. Johnson will respect you if you a) play music well or b) Give full effort in learning. He hates passionless people. But so do most.
Fantastic teacher who pushes you to go beyond what you thought you were capable of doing. He has a strong conviction for the importance of music.
He is a good guy who does a lot for the band he needs to learn to controll outburts of anger and not hit innocent bystanders with stands he's kinda a spaz and is very tense.
tends to anger, but can take you places, doesn't teach much, but also has too many students, so overall positive
Good music teacher. Can be overreactive sometimes, but he's a great guy! Band is the best!
He's big, he yells a lot, but he'll take you a lot of cool places
