very knowledgeable but really likes to makes simple things challenging and inconvinient
One of the worst teachers I've ever had, he knows math but cannot teach it to his students. He is very moody and unreasonable. He favors certain students so much, so get on his good side or else you'll always get some points off on the test, even if they are correct. Also ,it helps if you are a girl.
Mr. Butler is the most dedicated teacher at Mounds View. He gets to school at 5am and leaves at 4pm in order to ensure that his students are able to ask him questions. He is extremely helpful if you go in for help, especially if you are lost. The students that do badly on his exams are usually the ones who don't do their homework/go in for help. His tests are challenging, but manageable. If you know the material well, you will finish his tests in the time given. In all, Butler is a great teacher
I had Mr. Butler in 11th grade in 1994. I was horrible with math, but he always took the time to help me. He is one of the few teachers I remember from high school who really stand out as an outstanding teacher.
He's never available for help. He says he is but he always has math team or Science Olympiad or something else going on. I wish I could like him more because he seems like he is trying.
His course is very challenging, but Mr. Butler is ALWAYS available to answer questions and clarify concepts.
Awful. Don't take him if possible, but if you do make sure you get on his good side. If you end up on his bad side you'll fail tests where you don't make a mistake. Also, it helps if you're a hot girl. Just sayin'.
funny guy, always available in the mornings (usually at like, 5:30!), very passionate about math, awesome teacher in general!
Dan Butler has been one of the greatest teachers I've ever had. He made my first transition into high much easier. He's always thinking of things to make the lessons we're learning more interesting, and he's always available before school to help when we need it.
INTERESTING....especially during summer math, voluntarily!!!!!!! ;) He's good with Squishy/Squeezy/Bulldozey overacheivers!
He's a great teacher that lets us laugh and learn! He's one of the teachers I'll never forget.
He is an amazing teacher, and those who complain about him picking favorites is probably because they arent a good student and do nothing to make him like them. ill remember this guy forever
He thinks he knows everything yet teaches the students the wrong stuff, which confuses the class and when someone tries to help, he dismisses them because he refuses to accept that he doesn't know
He's so arrogant that he regularly compares himself to God. He often refuses to waste his time helping kids that are struggling but prefers to spend his time chatting with the well endowed.
HE IS BY FAR THE BEST TEACHER IN THE WORLD. I didn't take calc 2 until college and it is way hard. He teaches you a lot and is really passionate and clear. He wants you to succeed!
Explains problems very well. Great teacher. Knows how to prepare you for AP exams.
He is one of the best teachers i have ever had. His willingness to give help is one of his best attributes. He truly loves math, and makes it a great class. He got me a 5 on the calc ap test.
Plays favorites too much, and is sometimes overbearing. He is really fun, and he is one of the best teachers I've had. I really liked his class.
Mr Butler is really cool. His class may be hard but if you ask him questions it is much easier.
Mr Butler basically has you learn on your own, and although that may be REALLY hard at times he does a good job of helping you (most of the time) if you need it
he is just way too into math and doesnt explain things with enough clarity, but he knows his stuff, he picks favorties -which i dont like
Hes a good teacher but its kinda annoying when he expects you to understand math at his level almost right away
