Got a good grade but Dorogusker suffered from the sleaze factor and was not fair to some people.

Mr. Dorogusker is by far one of the most influential instructors I had while at LaGuardia HS. There are few teachers who really seemed to understand me at my level and understood my particular learning style. His class was amazing.

He's rude and self-absorbed, not to mention completely obsessed with the Bible. I can understand his appeal - he goes out of his way to connect with the youthz. That being said, it's no excuse for his condescending tone and patronizing comments.

Mr. Dorogusker is one of the only teachers I have had at LaGuardia that cares that I learn above all things. He is brilliant philosophically and intellectually and can really make you think.

I attended Lag and graduated back in '03. Mr. Dorogusker was, and is, a beacon of all the things good and inspiring in public education. He requires more of the student than grades -- he values thought-process and the student's genuine interest in becoming a better and more involved thinker in the world. He was inspiring to every one of my classmates and peers, and I cherished his class. 5's across the board, obviously, and 3 for "easiness" because, really, take a teacher that isn't every so often.

Mr. Dorogusker is one of my favorite teachers! His class was very entertaining and he made us laugh. He is intelligent and puts effort into his teachings. He is confident, charismatic, and unbiased. He was always in a good mood and his funny anecdotes make the class interesting. One of the nicest people I've met in my life. He is very helpful, especially since he will respond to your e-mails immediately and makes sure he answers your questions. Mr. D I really enjoyed your class this year!

Mr. Dorogusker is the best teacher one can ask for. I appreciate the way he teaches and urges students to do more than they want to. If you have any problems with anything, don't be afraid to ask.

he is a model for all English teachers and I would do anything to be his student again. He made whatever we were learning enjoyable and always made us think deeply about symbolism, the different characters, etc. and he helped me greatly as a writer without overwhelming me with unrelenting work.

He cares about his students both academically and socially. He is honest, teaches great morals, makes us laugh when things get too tense, and overall motivates us to do better. We studied literature in depth and he encouraged all of us to become more analytical.
