y'all need to calm down. He's funny and teaches well. His tests are fair and he adds 4 full points to your quarter grade if you do your hw. what more can you ask for.
Stop hating. While he is not the best teacher, he is far from the worst. The class is hard, but he knows his stuff. Everyone in my class got an 85+ on the regents. That being said, he is a harsh grader, and is VERY hard on the students (constantly saying we are "honors" thus should know the stuff). His teaching is okay at best, but he expects you to help yourself a lot. Is not afraid to put you down. He only REALLY likes "stars" and can be malice towards students he deems "less intelligent"
He made my child hate math, and my child always loved math. He can't teach my child. My child teaches himself better.
Does not explain anything unless someone asks, is impatient, puts people down casually, and does not give enough time on exams. I missed the first week of school back in ninth grade due to family matters, and when I got back to school, I was completely lost. The first thing he asked me was, "Do you think you're right for this class?" He was always blaming us on our bad math habits that we've been taught since elementary school, rather than blaming our former teachers. He favorites certain girls.
He grows on you as the year goes on. He expects you to help yourself, he won't give it to you. Tests are hard, but fair for Geom Honors. Hard grader. Becomes very laid back as the year goes along. Very effective in preparing for midterm and regents, and he definitely knows what he's talking about and has a lot of experience. Overall it was an okay experience, very hit or miss
You are in trouble if you get him. He has very poor teaching skills and is not clear. Math was my favorite subject but now I hate it and I am stuck in his class.
Apparently was teacher of the year. Idk how. Teaches us well I guess, but gives us questions MUCHHH harder than things we learned. Always yells at you for making a mistake. Unfair, judges you, and has favorites which is soo obvious.
He is annoying, doesn't give enough time on tests, he explains well and teaches he sets u up to fail by making it 10X harder on the test with no corrections he's intimidating to ask questions
worst math teacher. almost failed the course.
Talk in his class! He will get angry if you all just stay quiet when he asks questions. good luck
Most AMAZING teacher i have ever had in my entire life! Always extremely helpful with students and always trying to help you succeed! Love him so much!!
Great guy in general, although lessons can be boring at times. His tests are challenging in particular, but really prepares you for the regents and mid-term effectively. Teaches beyond what you need to know and loves to explain why particular theorems are true. Overall great experience.
To the last rater...I could not agree more! He teaches "to the test"...great if all you care about is getting good grades...but if you actually want to learn math and understand the how and why of things, you'd better read o
OMG BEST TEACHE EVER I LOVE THIS MAN!!!! :) he is actually perfect. he pushes people to the best of their ability and doesnt care if they like it or not. he is amazing, not easy, but awesome.
best teacher ive ever had, hes hard as heck but very helpful !! just do EXACTLY as he says and study a lot :) and be a girl, he favors girls. or be funny then he will like you :) HES AWESOME.
good teacher, pretty chill, randomly makes jokes with completely straight face
I loved him, maybe that was just because I was his favorite?
i do really good but we go over the same things a lot but thats good for me
he got a 770 on the math portion of the SAT back in the day so yea, he's good at math. good teacher but don't make any stupid mistakes or it'll cost you around 20 pts
Goldbeck's a great teacher, even if his jokes are corny. Consider youself lucky if you get him.
He is bad, not horrible, but bad. He gives these jokes, which are funny at first, but just gets old really fast. He talks so slow but teaches fast (too fast to follow). He has favoritisms.
He is the best math teacher ever! I hate math and i enjoyed his class sooo much in ninth grade. He was always helpful and didnt blame me for getting bad grades on tests, he helped me instead.
He's so... I kept wanting to fall asleep in his class. I don't think i learned much either. Also he takes off a lot of points for minor errors on tests
he was the best! math is broing but atleast he taught me something
pretty boring, but it's math, what can you expect... and I thought that he was pretty tough with the whole homework and absence thing.
you math a teachers are all the same, expecting us to know things without you teaching us...
ok so far. he's an incredible teacher compared to my math teacher last year, though that's not saying much.
Great teacher... makes math class fun. Sure, his class was hard, but thts not his fault. Math is hard, deal with it!
Mad hard! He really cares about us and tries hard; notice high helpful rating but is her clear? not really. Great guy... mediocore teacher... bad communicator
VERY WEIRD! He is so weird its hilarious, but if you ask he is ALWAYS willing to help. Not the best teacher, but a great person!
Mr. Goldbecks just so funny and a pretty good teach 2-i luved the linguini lol
Coolest guy ever, if I fail regents, its not his fault, its Ms Avenoso's (worst teacher ever)
He's an amazing math teacher. Probably the best I've ever had. extremely helpful and excellent teaching
he's good but i still nedd help in math!!!!! I'm failin dude!~
tries to make it fun and stuff - not really successful.
great teacher, makes everything so clear its impossible to do badly
heyy! he was a good teacher, and if you don't ask questionz it'z ur own fault
every1 does badly on his tests. he is a bad not knowledgeable teacher. weird
