His expectations for us are way out of line. Not a day goes by without him lecturing us about how terrible we are as a class (the worst in seven years, at that!) and loses it over everything. He's a smart man. Too bad he's also malicious, and full of hatred towards his students, as well as any modicum of imperfection within their work.

He doesn't do any creative assignments in his curriculum, which is really annoying, but he keeps a good amount of control over the class and is a reasonable grader.

Mr. Guralnick is the best English teacher I have ever had. He teaches at an advanced level, yet manages to expertly communicate each lesson to his students. He is personable, but extremely professional. He cares about his students success, and strives to allow us to understand literature to its fullest profundity. Anyone would be lucky to get him as a teacher in the future.

People criticize him for being a tough teacher. However, if you put in the work, and keep trying, you will understand what he wants soon. He is so smart and teaches such useful info! I know I will retain this knowledge I obtained from his class in the years to come. I am SO satisfied with his class even though I don't get straight As with him. I am willing to work hard because his class is worth it! I truly enjoy his class and will be sorry when it ends. His grammar lessons help with SAT!

He is a tough teacher and I really hate that he doesn't give grades. I am learning a ton in this class, but it's a lot of work, especially for a junior.
