Hudder was not my favorite. He believes there is a "correct" way to do things and is not open to hearing other text interpretations/solutions. He says he cares for his students, but I never felt as if he did for me.
(This is a review of his class at Franklin High, since he teaches there now)
I am much better at working with texts now. But might sometimes overload us with HW.
Mr, Hudder was my favorite teacher. He is a hilarious guy, super nice, and likes to have fun with lessons. He loves theater and is a very expressive guy. The only problem I had with him is that he NEVER grades work. Literally he grades all tests, homework, etc. the week before grades are due. Never be afraid of passing in work late because he won't check it! Loves technology so if you like technology you will like his class. He engages students and it was an enjoyable period.
I did not think I'd like him at first, but he is actually a pretty interesting guy because of his really unique personality. Haven't really seen anything like him before, so it might throw some people off, but you'll get used to it. Can be funny at times, but can be over the top at times too. He's different, that's all I can say.
Had him soph and senior year, acc world lit was the best class i took in high school. Hudder taught me to read and analyze literature better than any other teacher I've had. Smart, insightful, wicked good at leading discussions, best english teacher i've had - college included. His class isn't easy but he pushes you to be the best you can be and leaves you extremely well prepared for college/life.
I love Mr. Hudder as a person and as a teacher. I agree that he does pick favorites and i luckly am one of them. If you have him, try REALLY hard and get on his good side. It matters if you want an A.
Mr. Hudder is the **** man I have ever met. His rubric grading system is s**t, he shuts people down, plays favorites, and just thinks he's the most popular person in the school. He IS smart though
Not only does he shut down multiple kids' analyses of novels, but he generally only prefers to accept answers from a select few of his students. His general teaching ability is flawed.
He doesn't give you any feedback on your work, just a grade. Even though he splits the grade up into multiple parts, you still have to ask him what was wrong. And it's not helpful anyway.
great teacher says hes not putting up with any bs but actually does, good guy and class was fun
i've definitely learned a lot in the two years that i've had him, but he definitely has his mood swings
Great teacher, funny, imformative, and will really make an effort to help you out if you need it. Prepares you well and connects with alot of his students. Will also give you a break if you need it.
He's a funny guy. The thing that bothers me about him, though, is that it seems as though he feels that his opinions are always the correct ones and if you don't say what he wants to hear it's wrong.
he really prepares you well for writing essays in college
absolutely the man, totally made my year. a fantastic teacher. you learn tons from him and he's always willing to help you with your interpretation if you stay afterschool.
great guy to know, not a great teacher he never tells us any of his own interp. even when we've got nothing grading system teaches you to stop caring about grades since you can't figure em out anyway
so far he seems like a good teacher who wants us to do well
A lot of busywork involved, classes can be boring. Overall, he's a great teacher you can learn a lot from him. He prepares you well for years to come.
Mr. hudder is not only a genius, but he is the best teacher you will ever have. His level of difficulty is a minor detail because of the fact that you want to work hard in his class. He also is an archetypal-god.
sometimes he gives WAY too mmuch work. he really isn't funny either.......but atleast he doesn't sound like mr.baker...if you know what i mean
I really liked having him he was really hard but I learned a ton and he makes class fun!
He grades the same throughout the year, so you will probably start with a bad grade and end up with an A in the 4th term. The good thing is, 4th term is all that matters for him.
He acts very laid back, fun in class and he's a funny guy, but he gives a lot of work and he can be sort of annoying when you're taking a test because he ALWAYS talks during them.
Hudder is great. He is a hard grade but he's fun and laid back. You will probably enjoy his class and just might get annoyed with his grading system.
He's a good teacher, and an interesting guy, but his grading system takes some time to get used to. It gets a lot easier as the year goes on (acc soph english)
he's a pretty awesome teacher, a little weird but whatever, the guy tries, and you can learn a lot from the guy.
Hudder rocks the Casbah! He is an archetypical guru.
He gives a lot of work but he is still an awesonme guy
had him 2 years in a row!! it was bad, good teacher though. Great guy, btu a lot of homework, hard to keep up if you got behind
i think mr. hudder has a bad rep, he's really a nice guy
He gives a lot of homework. He is really intense and he likes embarrassing people. We learn a lot but no one in our class likes him at all.
ugh huds....gives WAY too much work...grades really hard....class is fun though b/c all he ever does is make fun of people...overall a good teacher
i like him! hes not the very organized but if you like his teaching style hes good
