She has a clear preference towards students she prefers. Her partial grading system can make the difference between a B and an A in the class.
I never understand what this woman is talking about. She does not explain any homework assignments and makes instructions even more vague when asked questions about the assignments. Her tests are nearly impossible, and she once assigned an even more difficult assessment after everybody failed the first one. She constantly pushes her political beliefs on students and shames the ones who do not agree with her.
Very passionate teacher who really cares about the students. She is accommodating and does her best to encourage each students to be the best possible!
Mrs. Blakely is one of the best teachers at Southview. Her energetic presence excites the class and inspires poets to become great. There is not a day that Mrs. Blakely doesn't think about her students. She is constantly looking for ways for her students to blossom into beautiful human beings.
Awesome. Very helpful and loves poetry. Always looking to help each student.
She loves poetry and helps make it interesting and fun.
Blakely was such a great teacher and so passionate about what she teaches. You know half of the students aren't as into it as she is but the fact that she was made you want to be as well. She trusted her students and treated everyone with the kindest disposition. I still have a lot of the books from her class in my library. If it weren't for her I never would have known the works of Nabokov. Great lady.
I love ms. Blakely she is the best english teacher i have ever had!
She loves poetry and is super passionate about teaching. Pretty much all you have to put in the effort and you'll do OK. Mrs. B actually made Macbeth fun and understandable.
She makes Shakespeare fun! Add to that, Mrs. B is super-passionate about poetry, Yeah, ok, she geeks out on her subject matter-but shewill always make time to help you. Basically, put in the effort, you'll pass--And get to drink tea
She is the worst teacher at Southview. I learned more about her personal life than Brit Lit. She's odd and makes weird jokes. Spends forever explaining the same thing over and over.
Gives 110% of her time/energy. Expects much, but good teachers do.
By far the worst teacher I've ever had. She is disorganized and unclear. Nothing positive to say.
Knows her stuff. She loses me sometimes with the big words, but she helps us earn a grade.
I'm not entirely sure that what she teaches will help me in my career. We learn how to review works of literature but we never learn how to write realistic papers, like memos or letters.
Mrs. Blakely's expectations for the class vary. One day, she treats the students as children; the next day, she expects a perfect essay. The inconsistency hurts her teaching ability.
Mrs. Blakely talks so slowly that students readily lose interest in her class...she also spends way to much time attempting to teach topics irrelevant to writing.
She gives her students the opportunity to redo homework and tests, as much as they want, so no one should fail or do badly in her class. Some tests are hard and in-depth.
Great teacher! Definitely knows how to improve a student's ability to write! Also, her lectures are always interesting.
I LOVE MRS BLAKELY she totally prepared us for college level writing! she says big words but it pays off!!
As a college student who recently graduated from Southview, I think it should be known that she is a very good teacher who prepares students for college.
I absolutely can not understand one word that comes out of this lady's mouth.. nor could my parents at open house.. she is totally teaching from a diff world..
