I really enjoyed his IB1 English class, and I wish he taught IB2. He is very straightforward and really wants you to not only learn new things but teach him something new. Respect him and work hard, and he'll respect you. He does have favorites, but he is still a fair teacher overall.

V Who is this kiss up? This class is so terrible. I work so hard, and he never agrees with anything I say and gives me low grades. How is he fair? He plays so many favorites its not even funny.

Mr. De Ruysscher is the best teacher I've ever had. He can be strict, but he is fair. He goes off on tangents, but they are always funny, insightful, or interesting. I have never felt bored in his class nor have I felt like I was learning something boring. He doesn't tell you what to think, he tells you how to think and how to evaluate what you think. He teaches you how to be skeptical, and I value that in a teacher. If you're getting him as a teacher, sit in the FRONT and talk to him! Do it
