His class is freaking difficult. Weekly quizzes are what your whole grade will depend on, along with the midterm every semester. His quizzes have only 10 questions usually, so if you miss even three, that's an instant C. He doesn't really teach, just stands there and waits while we copy his notes from the overhead. You are expected to read out of the textbook and take notes on your own. He may be a difficult teacher, but then again, chemistry isn't an easy subject.

Okay, Mr.Leal isn't even that bad. Chem honors with him is paced fairly and he just has a bad rep.

Okay I don't even know where to start... SC's Science Department needs help. And A LOT of it... I would really appreciate if there was a SINGLE chemistry teacher at SC that was even REMOTELY competent. Leal does NOTHING. He sits there in his little chair and watches our confused and blank looks as we copy down the notes that he puts up. There are NO explanations and students are expected to teach themselves. Any knowledge that a student obtains from his class is from learning by themselves.
