great guy smart as a whip came by math honestly through his Dad. Orderly and precise appears a bit stuffed but he's a good man we are glad to know him. A little hard to get to but if you persist he will clarify problem solving with dignity . Order, timing, and balance are important to him.

Swift was Dean of Students when my mom died suddenly & unexpectedly upper year. I asked for a Monday off in my senior spring to be with my West Coast dad visiting for a 3-day weekend (after I already got in to EVERY college I applied to including an Ivy). He said no. Here's a former day stud who later went to Harvard/Dartmouth, prob'ly never was more than 250 miles from home in his life...To this day, 20 years later, still can't figure out why? All that endowment-still can't hire a human heart.

Yes, his test grades can be arbitrary... but he's a nice person, and one of the best teachers I've had. Made everything amazingly clear.

THE MAN. He's shy and quiet, and I think that's why everyone thinks he's intimidating. Just be friendly :) He's a tough grader, but he's very clear when you don't understand something

I don't like Mr. Swift. He's very intimidating, and never tries to get to know his students. I've noticed that whenever someone says hello or bye to him, he'd sit there and stare.

Mr. Swift is my favorite teacher I've ever had at Exeter in my two years. He is hilarious and smart, kind and respectful. I wasn't intimidated at all! The best advice is get to know him! Talk about the Red Sox, or crew as a good conversation starter. Who could go wrong with the Sox! GO SOX! He's a great guy!
