I graduated a couple years ago and had him all 4 years of high school. One of my most influential teachers. Cares about his students and works to take care of them. Awesome guy teaching to make a difference.
I graduated from Plant in 2005 and graduated from UF's J-school in 2010. Looking back, I have mixed feelings about Webb as a journalism teacher. In his class, I did not learn anything about actual journalism such as ledes, nut grafs, AP style, grammar, punctuation, spelling or the state of the industry. With all that said though, Webb did train me how to think outside of the box and use critical thinking skills and skepticism, which, at the very least, lay the foundation for every journalist.
Webb is alright. He has his moodswings which can last for a whole week, but they're not all that common. I had him for Journalism I. As far as the classwork, as long as you write stuff on the paper, it works. He just checks the names and then throws them away. You'll never get any assignment or grade back from him. He's pretty predictable. Just laugh at his corny jokes and you'll be fine.
Sure, Webb has his moodswings, but he's still a great guy! The only downside is, I felt he only knew my name like a month before school got out and I had been a talkative and active participant in his journalism class! I really do like Webb though, and his class is easy if you try!
amazing amazing teacher!! really cares about the students!! very wise and easy to talk to!!
Webb is the best teacher at Plant! watch out for his mood swings though!
Mr. Webb is pretty cool the only thing that is not cool is that he gets angry easily
WEBBIE IS THE BEST! V. funny and helpful, and even though we just talk mostly, we learn a lot. Gives good real world examples and debate topics!
MR WEBB IS THE BEST... he has made my high school life so much easier, he is great for pep talks on a bad day, and always has hilarious stories to stay upbeat
MR WEBB IS THE BEST TEACHER IVE EVER HAD!!! he was my english teacher my sophmore year and he taught me so much about life instead of a boring curriculum.
He's extremely easy. It's basically impossible to get a bad grade. Even so, he actually is a pretty helpful person.
